Since ein's apparently busy on the character designs and forgot to update this, let me have the opportunity then.

Yes, I haven't updated for awhile. But! I have excuses! yes.. Excuses.

Here's the first one: I am very occupied with training martial arts. Yeah, we here in Evil OS are skilled in a wide array of different art systems. This is mine.

This is actually what Ein's been working on.

Here's more:

Basically, he does the majority of the art and everything visual you see here. Davis and many more will be invited as voice actors. Yes, we are looking for awesome voice talents out there. So you guys, get your throats ready.

Also, we're looking for writers. Amateur writers who want to see their art be visually seen, send 'em in. I don't want to depend on the crazy mad writings of davis and ein forever lol.

And as for me, as the animator, coming from the latin word anima, or animus, I forgot, I give the soul. Yeaahhhhhh. The Soul.

I am a Soul Artist.

I also animate ALL drawings, rig them in the 3d animation program, edit the video and upload them up.

Haah. It is actually a lot of work. Tremendous. But it is very rewarding.

Its very nice that I am simply just concentrating on character animation now. Everything else will be provided by Evil OS. Awesome.

So we're all busy on this project for the time being. More news to come when they come.

Also, Ein's looking for a job. More money coming soon.

Yessss, for many of you who've been listening to my late ranting, I've quit making comics in favor of CG painting. And without further delay, here's my second CG painting.~

I'm using a few of these for my portfolio, though without the Mabinogi characters of course. I'll be using only the background painting.

What about this? Well, I can tell you I suck at painting trees at a distance, and I blow at coloring characters. Since I've been working on black and white for so long, I still haven't developed a new coloring method. It's getting somewhere, but no significant development yet, just a few alterations on my layering order. This is a given, since it's only my second CG painting. I have to "keep drawing" as Dom always tells me.

Oh and the orange shirt fellow is my character in Fantasy Life Mabinogi... which brings me to this!

I've made my own personal logo stamp! I'll be using this for all my artwork from now on.

Well, you're probably wondering where my first CG painting end up. Truth be told, it's being used as the main menu background for my visual novel. Well, I haven't worked on it in a while, but the menus and the user interfaces are complete. There's some minor bugs with the menu sounds that I can fix later, but mostly it's all done. Now, I won't show what the menu looks like, but I will show you guys the logo for Ma.Na. Link.

I'm planning to use some of the CG backgrounds from the game for my portfolio too, so I'll be getting onto this sooner or later. The character sprites will come afterwards.

Well that's about it for now. Jeff and I are going to work on a collaboration art for my next CG painting. We'll be fusing his 3D know-how and my newly developing painting skills! Look forward to that!

"OMG I'm a total noob!" -me

Just a quick and short (as always). Blame work and MMORPG for that. Add PSP too. And oh, artist block. But to tell the truth I've done more stuff that last year. I have a WIP (I'll post next update) which will take some more time to finish. It's complete with background (OMG!).
So yeah, I was reading the previous post while playing MMO and I read that Yvanne is EOS' maid and supposed to be the EOS mascot -- or rather EOS-tan. Too bad Ein didn't include colors.

I'm very sorry Ein. I can't resist.

I wish I know her color palette T.T
I don't really want her hair to be blonde/golden. The color came from the blog's current layout/color scheme so meh. ;P Ein do you have a colored version of Yvanne?

Her maid outfit color sucks so pardon my lack of sense of color combination. I just hope Ein won't kill me for ruining her. It feels good to draw using tablet though. Like, it turned out cute/nice. I usually give up. XD

Well, this is a girl!

At least, I had a nice weekend. I chilled with the guys (Jeff, Davis and Mike) yesterday. We did the usual (play GO, chat about employment, future work, Youtube anything that came to mind, etc.) and ate my homemade BREAD! HehehehehehehehehEHHEHEHEHE...

Before all that excitement though, I was working on this little gal.

Yvanne the Maid

She's my test character for the Ma.Na. Link visual novel (and probably others to come). She will be on my test menu (the menu where I get to test all the chapters) for the game, and she'll also be my test subject for new features I have to test (ex: the blinking eyes function, new transision filters, etc.). I thought of having her as part of the Evil O.S. mascot team, but I changed my mind (since this is not an anime blog). I named her after a friend of mine, by the way... some dude, lol. His name was Ivan, so I screwed it around and came up with Yvanne, just to mess with him. HEHEHEHE!!

Ma.Na. Link? It's still the same story I described last time, just with a different presentation. I'm working on it right now. The menus and user interfaces are what I'm starting with, just to be sure everything works. Then, I'll take a week break and work on that kimono I always wanted to make. And then, I'll start work on all the sprites and backgrounds I need for the demo.

That's about it for now. Oh, and for those of you who saw my visual novel test build.~

Visual Novel a novel that's visual!

Well, I usually don't update before meeting time, but hell it's been a while.

Worse part is, I'm not kidding. HAHAHAHAHA!! Hell, least minimum wage is higher now. A smile will be stuck on my face for a long while... mind you, whether that smile is pissed or not doesn't really show. Watch yourself!

I'm sure that most of you (one or two) are aware that I decided to abandon the comic world forever in favor of Visual Novels (H-GAME!). Yes, I'm tired of the repetitive production black and white work of manga (I swear black started to look like dark-red to me sometimes). Mind you, I still love manga and the comic world in-general. However, any of you remember when I last completed a series? Exactly!! So in the dept of my mind, body and soul, I decided to combine my love of gaming, game scripting/modding, art and storytelling into one! And voilà, the visual novel creation tool Ren'py came my way. Of course, I'm scrubbing out the porn and most of the fan-service... well ya, hahahaha.

Initially, I planned on having a friend help me make a full game, but she's entering school and won't be available. I'll be fine though, the program is very easy to use. Safe to say I'll be working on this alone. Drawing everything first will be long, but worthwhile once it all starts coming together.

Don't worry, I'm sure of myself this time. Ever since I started, I haven't put Ren'py to rest, hahaha! I've even done something in advance, been like two-three weeks in the making, but I've managed to put together a engine test build.

Test Build Preview

Remember those two characters from Venus no Ofuro I never used? Well I decided to put them to use just for this test. Of course, the backgrounds were quickly done and I only had 4 facial expressions per character to work with, but I think I managed to test out most of the main features of Ren'py. Also, I figured out most of the cranks and mistakes I need to avoid while drawing the sprites and backgrounds. Overall, success!~

I don't think I'll want to drop Ma.Na. Link. *Hugs script* I RATHER DIE THAN DO THAT!! I'll turn it into a visual novel. What better to use than an actual pilot I wrote anyway right? I'm going to redo some of the character designs though.

Well, I'll talk more about that after I finish my test build.

Remember meeting/gathering/go ceremony is Friday, March 19th! So far only our great deity Mike can't make it.

Anywho, Hello Evil OS! How are things? I missed you all!

Yeah.

Before my incredible mass of posting, Yes I am sorry for posting for a very long time. I'm probably the second next to Ein that have more time on his hands. Actually, I have been lazy for a few weeks now. I apologize, greatly. Seriously, I've been scolded about this lazyness by myself and a few people already. It's really not nice.

Although, rest assured that I wasn't completely lazy.

Actually, since the beginning of the year, I was at the hospital for two weeks. My appendix, she exploded. Funny thing that happened, I was just walking, minding my own business, then, I heard a sudden "boom!" inside the belly. So yeah...

If you actually believed the sentences above, bad baad. Sorry, I was lying. Technically, your body isn't suppose to emit a "boom!" noise. But yeah, it was a bad case of appendicitis. Bad enough that I had to stay in there for two weeks, which would normally be just 3 days.

I could write an entire list of what I experienced during that time, but it's quite long. Basically, it was an incredibly life changing experience. Yet, I guess it wasn't enough to really change a man. It's up to me to completely change that.

So, now onto the recent art-tastic crazyness!

Here's the final version of that gundam animation I posted last time. I presented the last one to class, and I was told that the presentation of the work itself wasn't clear enough. Also, there wasn't much told on how much work was put into the project. So here's a better version of it:

Here's also a two part video of my Integrative Project for College. Yeah, I had to do this in order to pass college. That was, hmmm, two months ago? Yes, ladies and germs, you are reading a post from a fresh college graduate! YEAH! College graduate! Hehehe, I dunno, the term still doesn't stick in me.

About this project, well basically it was suppose to show your collective skills learned in the entire time of college. Since I was slacking off in the beginning parts of classes and I had a cool teacher for this class, I taught everyone martial arts! Yeah! Although, it wasn't an easy thing to do, this took 6 grueling weeks of harsh planning, and it wasn't enough.

But, I'm happy with this project. It is my greatest one so far. ^_^

THE END OF THE WORLD! (part 5)

For the past two days there were parties here, dad's birthday, so I couldn't really concentrate on the pages. I ended up doing this little thing.

Meet character A and character B... yeah, they have no names.

You probably can't see it in that low-resolution version, but the lines are rather choppy. I wanted to see if my colouring skills got any better, so I just sketched it like nuts. End result? Feels like I'm stuck in high school, hahahaha. Aside from the proper methods and advanced techniques I learned till now, my own image of colour in my mind has not changed. This is probably because I work often in black & white. I never seem to have the patience for colouring. Oh, and mind the blood, I was just trying it out. He wasn't blood-spilled till later... though that knife on her left hand was there from the beginning. -You know, they didn't have feet when I started because the sheet was too short. I felt bad about it, so I extended the canvas and drew them anyway, hehehe.

By the way, remember when I talked about something that will help me improve my drawing productivity? Well there it is on the background; it's a digital comic sheet. I measured it to fit Tokyopop's publishing size, 10in x 14.875in. I have some Tokyopop published mangas and they seem to fit the other brands' size, so I used this.

I have to improve my colouring soon, especially skin toning. I might have another long-term project to start at the end of February. A friend of mines and I want to make a visual novel (H-game!) using Ren'Py (though we're not making an actual H-game, just visual novel, hahaHAHA). She's basically the programmer and I'm the artist. I've always wanted to try this, a visual novel-type game! It's going to take hell long though, but at least I can update about it here. Unlike Ma.Na. Link which I can only show by its near completion. I'll talk about this new project after February, till then!

I'll get back to work on Ma.Na. Link today after I vacuum the floors. Sure was quite a mess after that party.

HAPPY NEW YEAR DUDES AND DUDETTES!! No we're not dead, everyone's just busy as usual... who's never busy? Right, right?!

I'm still here too, and yes I have two months left before my deadline to finish my pilot of Ma.Na. Link. I suppose I should turn myself into a zombie now, eh? Yeah, that's an idea. I'm getting back into gear now. It's part of my new years resolution -HAHAHAHA!! After all, I am still mortal no? I've created a little something that will help me draw like a madman. I hope to be able to at least draw one page a day. Also, I've decided to sacrifice a bit of detail in my drawings. This way I can keep a fixed pace. I can only hope I finish in time. When I do, I'll post them in a Smack Jeeves or similar comic site. Anyone have a bloody maid costume, by the way?

I'll start bashing heads here and there, though I doubt it'll be anytime soon before someone else updates. For now though, happy new year and I give you all my love and hate! A new day awaits

I have my first class of the new semester, my final semester, at my post-secondary education, in 4 hours.

I have no idea why I'm awake now. Too lazy to set alarm clock again and again...

So yes, we all have been lazy in updating Evil OS, I'm no different. I have been busy with making highly destructive 3d robots, teaching art of war to random folks, and making Ein work with the serving-burgers clown. Ahh, what a summer it was. I already miss it.

Summer Report:

I'll do a full summer report, since Ein pretty much covered the otakuthon convention report, and there wasn't really much big news to cover it.

As for my part, the most thing I did for the summer was, well, working. Serving coffees, mastering the creations of lattés and other ultimatastic drinks (yeah, you heard me say it). There were also a few BBQ parties hosted by the Art Club which were incredibly fun. Oh mann, you guys got to try that Quelf board game. that thing made us speak in third-person, gain some bad backpain, and running around for wood.

As for Evil OS, some of the summer time was spent with Ein and Davis watching random martial arts shows on the internet. They we're featuring different martial arts around the world with a reality TV sense of making the hosts feel brutal pain (JIMMY!!). It was fun.

Speaking of brutal pain, I did start free martial arts lessons this summer. It's a new experience to actually host it, prepare it and manage a class. I'm really proud of this one, I alwats thought of teaching martial arts one day, but this is a realistic good step forward to that goal.

One step at a time, ladies and gents.

What else, hmmm, alot of different kinds of liquid has been drunk the past few months, wasn't really a bad deal. Although summer was quite hectic and simply lame this time of year. How unfortunate.

In any case, all is well on my part of the world here. There isn't much to report, so let's move to the artworks, shall we?

Speaking of my part of the world here, my old comic is still updating on the old comic website. You guys should check it out.

Oh, and here's a preview of the gundam robot that I will soon unleash to the public!

I was suppose to be more finished than this. But the program crashed at some random point last week, making me loose alot of the work. I really should double save my file like Ein. Gaahhh... I was already working on the leg that time...

I'll work on the head afterwards. I wanted to scale the head right, and the only thing I would see the scale is after I finished the legs. I was actually unsure if I did the arms right. And they were wrong earlier on.

I'm already up to 6000 polygons in this suit already. I'm pretty sure I have alot of polygons there that I don't really use. Less polys means more faster render time and smaller size, which also means more happier computers who would play my animations!

The Journey Begins

Well people aren't updating, so here I am again!

No, I didn't forget about the convention pictures. Just that I haven't seen Great God Mike on MSN lately. His computer is probably still broken. It crashed sometime ago. Mon has some of them too. ~_~

In the last three days, I finally got the computer upgraded. Uncle Rhey gave me his ASUS AH3650 SILENT video card and another gig of ram (because his computer crashed). I'm not sure how far off the AH3650 series are from my old ATI Radeon9600Pro, but it has this huge heatsink and no fan. The card literally looks like a starship... bloody hell! I've also been backing up my harddrive files in case the darn thing decides to go bonkers on me. Though, it seems to be working fine. Oh well, least I can work on bigger prints now.

Script finished, computer tested & running and got my hair cut! Time to start this baby!

Can we dance now?

Right, sometime Monday when I finished my script for Ma. Na. Link, I decided to add-in a mascot character. Why? Well the script called for one...

He looks like a gremlin... with a cowboy hat!

To tell ya the truth, I have no idea what this little creature is. Some sort of bunny/cat/dog/fox/tiger? Not that it really matters, the script states it's a sprite. Some little spirit creature. And yes his name is Orz... just like the emote. Wasn't my idea, I swear! I wanted something that was between evil looking with good intentions. I suppose that idea went out of hand when the cowboy hat came in. Oh, and there's a story behind the hat, it comes up later after the first few chapters. As usual, I used Corel Painter 9 to draw the little dude and Photoshop 7 to colour him. Original size is about equal to a sheet of normal print paper (27 x 21.5cm).

Anyway, I'll get started on the manuscript today after I finish reviewing the script one last time. Thirteen pages of pure goodness, always a chance I missed something!

I found this really scary looking lettuce brand in our fridge. The kid in the logo remind me of a younger version of Jeff, mostly because of the hair I guess, lolol! Little Junior my arse!!

Ein; Day 0: Cat handicapped again through unknown accident involving an SMS shop. We saw a six-packed Spartan. Weird man in similar Hawaiian shirt to Great God Mike gave us coupons for A&W food store. We used them, awesome! THANKS UNKNOWN-MIDDLE AGED MAN IN HAWAIIAN SHIRT!! Cosplay picturing. Almost grabbed ice coffee from Tim Horton's, but Ein whined about wanting to go home and he WON! Got home.

Ein; Day 1: Helped Davis find pre-registration line. Went to shop, nothing really appealing to buy. Went to eat in roof, friends were served rusted tap water drinks. Umbrella Corp. soldeirs were attacked by Domo-Kun. Jeff yelling back at welcome ladies. Lenneth tried to eat my soul (pic later). Davis and Jeff got the Black Power Ranger's autograph. Was attacked by Domo-Kun (pic later)! Watched Kendo and Wushu kids. Soul Eater scythe almost cut my head off (several attempts). Eat at restaurant Basha, awesome shishtaouk. Watched 404's. Home, tired...

Ein; Day 2: "Wouldn't you like to know..." well yeah, ok. Davis didn't make it, his work schedule got screwed up, though instead MON CAME!! WOOT!!! And he brought like, 7 of his cousins with him. Funny how they all took photos with Chewbacca... one at a time. And yes, we have pictures as proof! We sat around for a while, waiting for everyone to arrive. Took a picture with Code Geass' CC with both of us holding a Pizza Hut box. Haruhi Suzumiya attacked me. The Umbrella Corp.'s soldiers attacked me. Bought two mangas from Sci-Fi Anime, one Code Geass - Nightmare of Nunnally and LovelessHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... There was a long line of otakus doing a Japanese folklore dance. We went to watch the 404's. Back to the Dealer's Area one last time, before the end of the con. Can't find Kath. We arrived at Scores for our finale and we found that Kath had beaten us to it. DOM STOP COPYING ME!! Awesome waiters at Scores, btw. Damn you SEA HORSE!!!

EDIT: Davis and Jeff got their armbands autographed by Johnny Young Bosch, the actor for the Adam Park character in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He also English dubbed many well known anime characters.

Too many thought, too little drawn

Among the various art mediums I’ve mastered in the past (i.e. ceramic sculpting, clay sculpting, painting, charcoal drawing, tailoring, design, cartography, digital posters, magazine design, etc.) comic drawing is something I never, EVER felt satisfied with. Mostly because I never finished a story, the farthest I’ve ever gone was 30 pages for one story. That was T.B.E.S., my first manga.

Dammit, I wish I had a camera... I’ve been working on this story called Ma.Na. Link. It’s an old medieval fantasy story I wrote when I was in high school. As usual, I’m recycling ideas from my old comic ideas. I rewrote the entire story, but kept the title. I’m keeping this as my main manga work now. I’ve finally realized how much I love medieval fantasy stuff!!

I give you, Zephyros!

See!? Darn thing took 4-5 weeks of work. I had it printed just the other day, which is why I wish I had a camera. ~_~ I’m terrible with names so Jeff lent me his Latin dictionary. Trust me a lot of those names were really weird, now, it’s not as bad. I was inspired by Middle Earth, needless to say. This is around 90cm x 36cm, I believe. Rather enjoyable cartography.~

And here are the first few characters that go with this newly created fantasy universe of mine.

The Protagonists

Meet Helyan le Blanc and Selene the Crimson Knight, the hero and the heroine; Davis helped me with the names, hehehe. I’ve reversed the roles in this one, Helyan is the priest/healer/medic and Selene is the legendary knight. Why you ask? Because it’s a shoujo manga! I know it’s not a good reason OTL. Right now, the drawing looks smooth and finished, but the real size is actually rather sketchy. Yes, I’ve gone CLAMP-ed *points to limbs*... well it’s getting there. Taller and taller and taller and taller and taller and skinnier and skinnier and skinnier and AND!! Selene is taller than Helyan, she’s supposed to be a bit older actually. Mature and serious, yet her male companion is soft and carefree. Our male lead is supposed to look like a farm boy. I had trouble with his design. He’s supposed to look simple, but he looked too simple. So I figured “hey, he’s a medic. Shouldn’t he carry supplies?” and there we go. I gave him a few pockets and a supply pack. Selene is a knight so I gave her the usual armor, but I gave her one of those made up fantasy clothes. I call it a clothmail, clothing that acts like armor! *Ka-ching!* The two have cloaks too, but I left them out for this sketch. They probably won’t look like this in the actual manga, but its close enough. My drawing style will evolve by then anyway.

I only need these two for now. I want to try drawing one chapter first, just to see if I can pull it off, hahaha. This one chapter alone will test my drawing skills with environments, lighting, gestures, character interaction, dialogue, paneling, etc. It’s rather packed, and it’s good because I have all I need for now. I don’t require the rest of the story for this chapter or any other designs. It’ll give me a certain freedom. Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing!

I’ll start writing my cliff notes tomorrow. I’m not going to write full scripts anymore because I never get started like that. I want to go with the flow this time. It will probably take me two days, but that’s ok. I get started on the actual pages after this. Though, I also have to sew extra armbands Monday since Jeff messed up two of them. ~_~

Good job Roony, and dammit they had burgers!! Well, it's my fault I missed Sacha's gathering party... Oh well, I'm planning things too. Dom, Jeff and I are having this author meeting sometime. We're supposed to help each other and stuff with our comic things. I'm also planning a mass outdoor drawing day for the group, probably in some park. I'll sketch out details in the forums later.

Here it is my really late review of Fantasy Life Mabinogi! (I say really late because I started playing the game back in 2006-7, lol... and because I finished this weeks ago.)

After writing that last review on LUNA Online, I thought that I should try making a magazine style review, just to make it a little more creative. I know, they’re all left-side pages. I didn’t think it would matter since this will never get printed. Otherwise, I would have left bleed-edges on the original .PSD, maybe next time. The original size is 23cm x 29.5cm, roughly the same size as the magazines our great God Mike lent me. The first draft I wrote was 10 pages long so I actually had to summarize myself. The end result was 8 pages, clearly still too long. So if you don’t want to read my personal thoughts on the game’s community, payment system, complaints, etc. then skip the last page (7) and read the green square on the bottom of that page. That should be all I have to mention, there’s quite a lot since Mabinogi is very unique from most MMORPGs.

I tried to write this for someone who knows what MMORPGs are and possibly played one before, but never set foot in a game like Mabinogi. For those of you that don’t know the common terms:

PvP - Player vs. Player

PvE - Player vs. Environment (monsters)

NPC - non-player character

If you still don’t understand, search them in Wikipedia.

HA! I think LUNA Online can fit on 2-3 pages! I’ll try to shorten these reviews more the next time, though that next time will probably be in a long time.

The next game I wanted to review was Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online, but frankly I’m not in the mood anymore. I’ll do it another time. I also want to review Dragon Nest when that comes out in NA, but that won’t be anytime soon so it’s all good. For the mean time, I’ll go back to my primary job. MWHAHAHAHAHA, YAO- *ahem* Shoujo manga drawing!!

Been Out

I know I haven't shown up here in awhile, but it's probably because I've been quite discouraged, sickly, and down in general. Not necessarily about art--but about a lot of stuff that's happening at home.

School's finally ended, but unfortunately I'm not done worrying about it. It's time for me to move onto college, but there are so many financial & parental issues that my heart's sunken in. When you're so stressed that you can't eat and sleep properly anymore, naturally you don't feel like communicating with anyone, haha. So I apologize for that.

Here's a piece that sorta sums up how I've been feeling and what I've been thinking of.

I call this one Of the Wolves. It's a work about my insecurities and all of the things that destroy society. That, and how it's a part of the eradication of wolves. The wolf and I are placed next to each other in comparison, the point being that there is little difference between the two of us. Both are looked down upon and torn asunder by humanity.

There's some pretty strong writing all over this piece, but the detail is lost in the small resolution and I'd rather not type it out for everyone to see, but I'll tell you a few things:

In the white circles are things that break humanity apart.
The background contains a short paragraph on how the wolf and I are similar in the sense that we both run from our problems.
The writing in the boxes around the two wolves and the eye talk about how the wolves are dying, and how the world would be if we contained no prejudice.
Around the edge of the moon, it says, "The moon will crumble in despair when the wolves die. The world will cry when the moon ceases to rise. It is then that we'll see our mistake."

This is arguable one of my most truthful artworks to myself. I took a lot of risks with it--the wide range of mixed medium and the risk of revealing my thoughts--but I think it turned out well.

Good morning Evil O.S? How's the weather?

Terrific.

Not much of an update today. I should be able to send some more 3d stuffs around the middle of summer.

What I have been doing recently is working on a brand new comic that I'll soon publish, no online uploading or anything. Well, probably only a few, I still do want to sell this. If not, yeah, I'll send it online. We'll see what happens.

Well, lastly, looks like everyone's on the forums. If anyone wants to like, add more forum categories, mess around with the member ranks, etc, just tell me and I'll see what I can do. As for the layout itself, I didn't really like working on CSS coding, so I'll just leave as the plain light blue as it is.

Let's see, what else... Oh, I am planning on teaching basic filipino martial arts to a small crowd this summer. It's just basic stuffs, so I can teach pretty well. I'm still undecided on the details, but here's what I got so far:

time: around afternoon to evening, 2-6pm, but the class itself will be only for 2 hours, and 5mins breaks.

place: Montreal, of course, I am still undecided since I can only pick outside public parks that has some good accomadations (nice space, trees, a public washroom, etc) If anything, I am leaning around the st.laurent area, close to cote-vertu metro station.

That's what I got so far, if anyone knows a great place to train, probably an indoor place would also be great (since the summer started rather cold).

My next post will be about a full detailed view of filipino martial arts, since I've been getting some questions about it myself. Not to mention I am not a highly source of information about it. Heheh....

Anyway, at least I know she's working at it. We were webcamming and voice chatting yesterday (thanks to Davis' little brother for 'lending' me his webcam) and I watched her paint something, not entirely sure what it was though, lol (image was dark). AND YES SHE SOUNDS LIKE A LITTLE BOY! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Ah yes, our last meeting. IT FAILED. Except for the part where we went to Scores to eat. I think Jeff and I were the only ones that finished our meals. Orz
So as a new solution to our discussion problems, Jeff and I decided to reopen our old forum we used by in 2001 for (Jeff's comic) Heroes Adventures. Jeff will probably have it open when he has time to work on it. We're thinking of simply having a single thread. We'll see what happens.

Ahhh, I couldn't get an actual camera to take pictures of those kimono-shirts I made, so I borrowed a webcam from Davis' little brother instead. The quality was bad for taking pictures (you think the program drivers would have a SAVE AS function installed in it ~_~... so stupid) since I had to use Photoshop to capture them, grr. -Apologize for the quality of the images...
Well I compiled them as usual, anyway to the point. I actually finish the blue one first (last one; YES, THAT'S BLUE not BLACK). The blue one only took a day to assemble, last I recall. It was a pain as usual, but I finally figured out how to sew in the sleeves perfectly! This is rather awesome since they usually were the worst part for me to do. However, the actual WORSE(R) part is the collar. Just keeping them in place is the roughest part of the whole job and the last part of the whole process. They never stay in place no matter how many times I pin them in. This is mostly due to the shape of the neck collar area, since it's where it folds down changing the direction. Fortunately, I devised a temporary solution. I simply sew it on itself and reverse it like a tube inside out. It helps keep the edges in place. I only used this on the red kimono-shirt though. I didn't encounter this problem on the blue on, for some reason. The next time I design a double layered kimono, I'll make the collar removable like how it's supposed to be. Orz

I used the same cheap practice cloth as usual, 2$/m(square) polyester. They're fun to wear as a jacket outside since they're double layered. Seems to be ok with little wind and rain. I actually tested it when I went to my doctor's appointment, hahaha. Next time I plan to use real cotton, and I'll put in some pockets next time ~_~ (I couldn't put in pockets because I haven't planned on it originally; sewing them on the double layer wasn't a good idea, the inside thread showed outside... somehow).

Gamer review!
Here's something new I want to do from time to time. I have this weird hobby of trying out different MMORPGs (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) and researching their weaknesses and potentials (I don't know; it's just something I enjoy doing every 6 months now and then). You might not consider this artsy, but I consider researching how a game is made and ran to be rather essential in our creative aspects, especially for me, Davis and Jeff. The ideas and how they're executed, is what I look for! You may call this referencing, if you want.

Probably the only game I ever kept playing was Mabinogi and since you're all already familiar with it, I'll start with other games first. I'll post in advance which games I'm waiting for and trying out on my side bar.

On with the show! This month's game is LUNA Online (site's rather heavy) a game made by EYA Interactive and servers run by gPotato. This game promises CUTENESS and it delivers it! The only down side... it's one of those usual (too common) grinding MMO games.
I entered the game's Closed-Beta session the other day. Almost immediately I was surrounded by... CUTENESS =_=. God forbid. The log-in screen was rather simple just like any usual one you'd find in any normal grinding game. Gameplay wise... well, it's a grinding game! You level-up, buy new equipment and move on to more stronger monsters. What else do you do?!

Grind aside (what else do you want me to say about it?!), there are some pretty nice (CUTE) features to the game... ya nice. One, of course, is the game’s art direction. Though not really unique, since I've seen cutesy online games before (like R.O.S.E. Online), but this one seems to stand near the top. I find it strangely appealing... it’s a nice break from the Lineage 2 clones (i.e. Rappelz, Shaiya, etc.), too many of those around now-a-days.

In most MMORPGS, NPC dialogue boxes are simply text boxes, however LUNA Online uses a dating sim style dialogue box which includes the NPC’s portrait. These display portraits change depending on their present mood and context. This probably doesn't seem special to you guys, but I tell you not many online games have this. I find it to be a nice little touch and perfect for LUNA Online’s style. It makes the game slightly more immersive.

One little fun factor that amuses me is the costumes (2nd image). If you hunt enough of the same type of (certain) monsters they eventually drop a part of a costume (mask, body, gloves & boots) of themselves that you can wear. Fun stuff, the only downside is the costumes have a timer for how long they'll last, usually a few days. That's fine though, don't want a horde of Kobolds or Lizardmen look-alikes running around the game all day! I like this feature. It makes the monsters in the game memorable. GLORY TO THE PAPERBAG!! >=D!!!

One other thing that strikes me is the large number of emotes the game has (3rd image). There's the bubble emotes, like the ones we use on MSN. But, there's also the character motion emotes. These are animated in front of you by your character and they’re... (CUTE)... nice. Oddly, there's a lot of dance emotes. Well animated too, and some dances are long! I found retro dance, WOO! Though I felt a little overwhelmed by emotes, they add ambiance to a player's surroundings, IF they are used by the other players.

HAHAHA, this is the best part. I found this little function in the character actions tab (4th image). Just look at it, I don't think I need to say anything do I? The other tabs list the character's active battle and passive skills. They're rather ordinary, much like other MMO games. However, the skill window itself felt somewhat small and annoying. They gave us a small text list selector with a short sliding bar. I mainly have issues with it because the skills are so close to each other. One can easily level-up the wrong skill even with the “[YES or NO] are you sure?” question box that pops-up after clicking.

LUNA Online is game you'd play on your spare time when you have nothing to do. Just like all the others (which is probably the majority) it's just boring grind. Team play is one way to make it fun, but it's still the same "click enemy->smack enemy to death->it smacks you to death->killed enemy->pick up loot->next enemy". Like most of you know, games like this are often subject to botting which can endanger the game's integrity. HEHEHEHE, the only reason I have to play after Open-Beta is to try out that Deat- I mean, Auto Note function! On another note, the game also uses a large amount of computer power. I don't know why, the game's around 600mb and runs slower than Mabinogi which is gigs huge now... strange. It's low detail too, lower than most games. It's probably the game engine.

Mann, I prefer being brief. Oh well, least next time I don't have to explain the terminology, that should lower the word amount. [EDIT: I rewrote the above a bit.]

UP NEXT!!
Ah, here's a pretty cool game I'm waiting on. It's called Dragon Nest by a newly formed Korean game company called EYEDENTITY. It's going to be released by NEXON so it's likely to be f2p (free to play) like most of their titles. Also, it's supposed to be playable on low-end systems. Though the gameplay is what strikes me to be the most interesting feature. It's kind of like Mabinogi Heroes' full combat action gameplay, unlike the last generation's (overused) grinding games, lol. Dragon Nest isn't even out in Korea yet, but it's set to be released here in North America too, so no worries. The Closed-Beta testing was supposed to start early this year, but nothing yet. Possible, I'll review this one next or something else while I wait.

Well that's about it for now. I'll continue drawing those designs for Venus no Ofuro now. That'll be my next post. As for Rune. UPDATE!!! And Jeff, don't forget the forums, lol! If I forgot anything, I'll add it in later.

I finally got Corel Painter 9 the other day, and I can tell ya "it's quite somethin'!"
As I expected, darn thing's really made for painting & drawing. So, since I'm a (very inspired) artist (lol), I decided to play around with it for a day. The result? Right below you!

Oy, it's my first attempt in Corel! Never (fully) used the darn thing before! ...Mind the graffiti.

Surprisingly the line-art barely took me so long. Shiro there took me a few hours the past night and a few hours this afternoon (total of 4 hours?). I know; I screwed up his left arm (it's slightly shorter than his right one), but oh well. Those bushes are another story though. I decided to use one batch of brushes called Digital Water Colours (mixing with the other paints is weird, so I settled on one kind, lol). I was trying out all the brushes making weird shapes, until I ended up with weird looking bushes. So I stuck with it and tried to make something out of it. The water's kind of the same story, but I knew that was going to be there since those rocks were part of the line-art. I got lazy at Shiro's colouring, his hair is undone, lol. Well that's pretty much my day today; screwing around in Corel Painter. ...darn this one's bright. =_= Funny, this is almost like how I water colour on actual paper, hahaha!

As for the program itself, it's quite standard. I really do prefer to drawing and painting in Corel Painter than in Adobe Photoshop. PS7 being a photo editing program, it's not really meant for painting or drawing. Although, it's not impossible, since I've done it before (well, I've been drawing in it since 2000, lol). I was able to draw a character in Corel a lot faster than in Photoshop, this is most likely due to the way it works and its design. If I try to make a circle in PS7 (with a tablet), I usually end up with a polygonal looking circle. However, in Corel a circle is a circle, it's a whole lot smoother! Kind of makes work a lot quicker!

When you look at both programs closely, drawn lines are a lot more pixilated in Corel than in PS7 (you won't see it in the .jpg above since it's rendered once saved). This is probably because PS7 automatically renders anything it creates (EVERY TIME), thus using up memory and slowing down its capture rating with a tablet (since my computer is super slow). In Corel, the capture rating is pure awesomeness! I actually erase less in it. The only drawbacks I can think of is: I can't mess with the fonts as much in Corel (because the functions are a little limited when it comes to editing) and I'm rather still unfamiliar with the program itself. Also, some of the buttons are the same as PS7, but some arn't and they can get rather annoying (though it'll probably be fine once I'm used to it). Oh and one plus is that you can save in .psd (PS file) in Corel, so no problems with exporting images.

As for my conclusion, I'd definitely use this new tool. I'll probably be drawing and painting backgrounds in it rather than in PS7 now, but I'll use Adobe when it comes to making logos, panelling (for my mangas) and visual editing.

Yes, the very last one indeed. This was the last time I'm drawing in shonen.

I was going to update last night, but power in my residential area died (during the afternoon), and when I turned the computer back on (late evening) I was suddenly faced with a sound-card problem. No idea what happened, probably a surge in the electrical line caused hardware to reset. I don't know.

In any case, I'll prohibit myself from drawing shonen as much as I can from now on. Mwhahaha, let shoujo rule the face of the Earth!!

Well you see, there was (yes 'was' it ended now, officially) this drawing contest in NA Mabinogi and the prize was a statuette figure... thing. In any case, I thought it would be a nice opportunity to test my skills out on other people (seeing that I never do) and sure enough I met some pretty good competition. Gives me a nice picture of what awaits me out there, well, a first picture of what awaits me. You won't find inspirational/professional artists there since it's mostly fanart stuff. However, there were a few very good pieces (and even one submitted was an invitation to an indirect challenge, *looks at Charli*). Haha, either way, it was rather fun. Haven't felt that kind of motivation in a long time.

La caricature d'une idiote

I started drawing these right after I finished Shiro's design.

I don't really know why I drew this one. I felt that it was incomplete, and that it doesn't really suit me. I guess I've been working in black & white for too long, eh? My colouring skills are really bad... like really bad. Though I have the skills to create realistic texture to a certain point, it didn't fit in to be use here. Which, to me, was a rather big disadvantage. It's too colourful for me, lol. I suppose, at first, I wanted it to be like the old (first) Mabinogi comic strip I made (the one with the pink boarders), but that was something I transcended a long time ago (which is probably why I feel it's not what I want anymore). I initially wanted to have the texts in Korean, but I changed my mind near end of its completion. I screwed up my character's (the tanned character's) right hand didn't I, lol? I drew this one rather quick, only took 3 days!! Right... JUST 3 days. This is originally 3248x2480px.

And of course I couldn't help but to draw another one (since I wasn't happy with the first one)! "We love drawing!"

The Hellwitch

Well now, that's a bit more like it. Sorry, but I see the world in black & white. HA! SO WHAT?! EH!? *ahem* Yeah, this one took me the rest of the days, I believe I finished April 1st (I don't remember what day I started exactly, I just remember it was after Shiro's designs). The end of the contest was April 2nd, so I had to rush a little. I ignored most of the little details (small shadowing, detailed texture, etc.) that I was thinking of adding early on because I ran out of time. I like this one a little more, it tells me something about me (I hate that Mabinogi mascot ~_~, bloody stalker). Not to much to add to this one really; I used a tablet, Photoshop 7.0, my brain... Yeah, that's it. EDIT: Oh and that thing that looks like a filled colour of gray on the characters, well that ain't a filled area of gray, lol. Those 'were' actually tones. That's what happens when you rescale an image with mini-tones from 2742x1914px to 957x1371px. EDIT 2: And another thing I forgot, Dom (the new member) helped me with the perspective, since I screwed up BAD, lol. He's great with that, unlike me. He made these little lines to show me where things go. Though, I still had to draw everywhere like a blind sparrow, lol.

I don't really care very much if I win or lose. Just wanted to see if I could keep up with some of the other (in hiding) artists. Though of course, like me being me, every time I see a good piece of work I immediately follow up, unlike some people. I have a lot of work ahead of me.~ hehehHEHEHEHEHEHE...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Now I'm off to post the old Mabi fancomic strips I made years ago at the main site for fun. Might as well put them to use.

I also forgot to get these pictures from Cat. I made lunch for some of the Evil O.S. members at school when I went over to visit. Hhehehehe, I didn't eat any of it. They weren't anything fancy or great, just random crap I dumped in the bento box, lol. I cooked about 85% of the stuff in there.
Oh and our great Evil O.S. God "Mike" has sent me a video to post. I really don't know what to think of this, but he found it in the usual 'tube' site and well... see for yourself, lol.

Yes, I am updating. No work this morning, no selling coffee and going nuts. Yeah, I know, unfortunate things do come. But it's all in good moments, so I'm updating.

As you would probably notice, I just woke up. I write awful grammar when I just woke up. So let's get to the point.

Here's the brand new Heroes Adventures line-up:

Their names and descriptions are listed two entry posts before this one.I can't really tell much about it, since I would really like to finish this comic first before submitting any official statements, etc... What I would like to do with this concept is to publish it, sell it, and probably make lots and lots of $moolah$.. ohh yeah.

But seriously, I am planning on publishing this. Ein is suppose to be doing the same thing, he's probably ahead of it than me lol. He's working on a 4 x 6 inches style of a graphic novel, errm, it's the manga-style format. I am really not sure of the measurement myself. Although mines is going to be a 10.5 x 8 inches, errm, american-style graphic novel design. I actually do like the western graphic novel version of making comics. It's rather, umm, orderly in my taste.

And now, I have to start the day, still so many days before I can attain this goal. One step at a time, one step a time.

Here's another step: my 3dsmax 9 cloth test. I finally found how to render clothing. Check it out.

First a towel, next a flag, then a full-on samurai warrior armour with flowing silk robe dancing in the wind. Yeaahhh.

Since this coming weekend is spring break for the majority of us Montrealers (excluding the Texans... unless I'm 'horribly' mistaken), I've concurred with the idea and decided to plan in advance like the last time.

Drawing II is cancelled today. I'm guessing there'll be early people there trying to open the drawing room to draw anyways. Good thing today is one of those days that I actually looked at the cancelled classes list... nice luck, eh? Yeah, better be, I've been getting a few bad ones recently.

That was some bad juju going around... Anywho, I'd like to work on those huge unfinished Drawings, but this is a perfect time to update. Since no one is updating, you bloody bastards, especially that New Guy. Yeah, we all know who that NEW EVIL OS MEMBER is. And yes, I will say it again, even Davis had one post. Right, Davis? Yeah.

On other matters, pokerfac-!----- err, Evil O.S. meeting at Ein's place was great. However, Ein is still responsible if we can upload pictures here. It is his house, afterall. And yes, I'm lazily not going to be responsible for that. Hehehe.

As for the specifics on what EXACTLY happened that night... well, hmm, I forgot. Things happened, crazy things, poker-tastic things. Also, there was a jetplane going under a bridge. And we still couldn't beat Rock Lee. I was also told that there were hugs, I really can't recall longterm memories mann. Oh, but Mike wasn't there. Damn you, and Davis had to go work... We really need to synchronize on these things.

Ok, enough of that. Now for some art-o-works.

If you've seen some of my posts here, then you must realize that my titles don't make any sense. This is not a completed work, yet, I'm still working on a few more coloring. So for now, here's Davis and my characters.

Yes, that is the name for my own character. It's actually related to the deeper meaning of the story, which I find interesting. Also, just for Evil OS, here a brief look at the characters of the upcoming comic:

Davis Yuung
Abandoned by birth in a Buddhist monastery, Davis lived all his life as a monk.

Ein Hoshino
Ein was born as the second son of the proud Hoshino clan. The family has been famous since medieval times as a powerful clan of samurais.

Erica Emia
Erica was an heiress to a kingdom in a far-off world. Her parents worry for her safety, so they hired ELITE of the Gaian world. This mission was given to Mateo.

Mateo Di Aguila
Mateo lived all his childhood with his grandfather. He was a goofy, drunk old man, but a grandmaster in a unique style of martial arts. All this time, Mateo practices this style alongside chores, play and keeping his drunken grandpa out of trouble.

Rin Streak
Somewhat satirical, Rin has a strong, cocky attitude that makes her somewhat distant to the group. But she lets out a smile now and then.

Shinogu Itami
The Itami clan is famous for their fierce weapons and armaments. Shinogu is no different to the name. All his life, he dedicates himself on keeping the Itami name in pride. He wields the Ferrer, a sword of glorious power.

D.M. Shun
The DM is the official leader of the Disciples of The Aeon, a rising new religion. He gave many inspiring speeches to promote his religion. In a matter of a few years, He proved to the world the existence of a higher world, and his religion to be able to reach it.

“Teacher”
During the DM’s speeches, a small stature man is seen following him. He wears an all-black long cloak, and his face is almost completely covered. He walks like an old man.

Aeonists
A religion that has been the talk all over the world, Aeonists has proven the existence of a higher world from its teachings.

I'll reveal only that so far. I'll finish the complete character profiles very soon. That's why I'm going to school now and start coloring.

Here's something to watch for you guys.

The only games I heard with this engine is that Force Unleashed star wars game, and Grand Theft Auto IV. Pretty cool, it's making an animator's life alot easier, hehehe.

What Holidays?

Well here's a quicky update for now. Since no one's updating, I might as well.

Here's the progress report on the Mabinogi Fan-poster 09. Ya, it ain't done yet, lol. I've been busy training my "windmill" skill in Mabinogi. It's the most and probably the only painful skill to rank up (level up), so after reaching the max (which is soon, I'm 1 rank away!) I'll continue this. Don't worry I only have until Saturday. I can't train it anymore afterward anyway, my designated monster get too weak to be used for the training. It's complicated math. I don't want to talk about it any more... Orz. Don't worry, I'll be very satisfied for a long time after this. I probably won't even play Mabinogi for an hour afterward. Really!

Yep, Presea (Raptor) looks hot eh? Unfortunately, Dice didn't end up as well after the first try, hahaha. I realized a lot of discrephensies. One is that the Claymore (sword) is in the wrong position. It feels like it's going to slide back and the sword's guard will choke him in the process. To fix it, I'll have to redraw the right arm a third time and highten the angle of the blade. Not a hard task really, though I should have noticed it earlier. It was worse before, the grip was the one on his shoulder... which would give him no actualy balance. It would simply fall back behind him, lol. Anyway, I'll get on it on the weekend and try to finish soon. Oh and that blue line is the rock they're standing on. I forgot to remove it, woops, lol.

I won't show the top, though some of you have already seen the sketches. I refuse to... I'm ashamed at the crappy sketches, lol.

OH AND I'M ON VACATION!! Wee!! I want to make a small party... really small, though I have no idea when to host it. I most likely won't actually, lol.

Also, I found something really neat. It's one of those games that are never released outside of Japan. Quite a shame really, this one seems super fun. Its series ended already. It's called Another Century's Episode 3 - The Final. It's basically a giant assembly of many old and new mecha animes. I know, it's weird, but it actually has a story! Though the game came out a few years ago, I don't remember when really, it looks soooooo awesome. Only way to actually get your hands on a hard copy would be to order it online or something, and assuming you have a Japanese PS2. Though there's other ways of course, bwahahahaha, but let's keep things legal hahahaha!

Little update concerning the layout

Yeah, its orange.

Some of the preset layouts aren't so bad after all.

It's become apparent that many of the older Evil OS posts we're made using bright and rainbowy coloring. It's not a problem, it's just many will be edited in case we make an all-black design.

I chose this color because their blue ones are kind of irritating (you can bet that blue is my color). Also, some are just bright as hell as the others. And no, no pink. No pink.

No pink.

I've also changed the logo image on the top. I just added some space on the left, since most preset layout tend to put the image more to the left. It's not centered, it's irritating. So, in case someone here decided to change the layout and the image got more to the right, well, you know. It's more to the right!

Yeahh.

One last thing, I added some space between posts. Just a organizing thingy. If it bothers anyone, please let me know as well.

Ok, that's all for now. I got essays to stampede upon.

As you may have noticed, some parts of the Evil OS blog has changed. Don't fear, this was my doing.

As the members probably already know, I am the one who play around with the site codings here and there. That's right, I am the creator, and also the destructor.

I'm like Shiva, yo.

Anyways, this is a message to every Evil OS member, follower, lurker, stalker, and audiences alike. We need an awesome new layout for the blog.

Many have probably had this wondering but, having a white background all the time is boring. It also destroys eyes when you're in a dark room and reading through the Evil OS blog.

So, any ideas on a new color template? Post it up here! We want to have the artistic & design feeling for the blog. Ein was thinking of having a fixed background on the sides of the posts. I was also looking for a more "dark"-ish color to change the perspective of the whiteness all the time.

There we go, comment away, Evil O.S. We need comments for the new layout. You have the power.

On other news, I am really busy. I actually started to fill up my calendar just to manage my homeworks, essays, and projects for the next three weeks or so. Ein is probably on the same situation.

I have new character designs to put up next time, they are still not digitally colored yet.

I like coloring. No B&W toning for me. Heh, can't really compete with Ein's artstyle.

Now, here's some nice martial arts vids:

First up is a modern wushu adaptation of an internal kung fu style: Bagua.

Not sure if this is a fact or not, but apparently this is the french wushu team instructor: Xing Long Bao. I could be wrong, but it's a great performance.

The music is a bit weirdly chosen in my opinion, but it's a graceful elegant adaptation of the internal martial art. If you see other Bagua demos, this is a complete difference.

Next up is an 8 Immortal staff demonstration.

Now, this is amazing. Mind you, that staff, it is HEAVY. This is actually a fast version of the demonstration set. Extremely fast, I might add. When this is done on a slow version, the speed that the staff creates can still crack a person's skull. At this speed, its very dangerous.

Notice that many kung fu staff demos have bamboo long sticks. When those are used, they tend to bend and curve when swinging. That's the quality of the bamboo.

However, This kind of staff is different. It uses the same material (or probably a harder material) than the bokken or wooden samurai swords.

And lastly, The pirates of the carribbean theme song. Sungha Jung is the name. 11 years old.

Well now, it’s been a while! I know the updates are being skipped lately, but our members are quite busy with everyday life... look at me making excuses for them. I’MMA HANG YOU ALL!! (Except Roony,who finally got her internet back, and updated twice in a row, lol.)

Okay, let’s skip the swearing and cussing part and move on to the main dish, shall we? >=)

ONE LOST, ONE FOUND... THEN LOST AGAIN

Well here we go, as I promised, the pictures of my third kimono-shirt. Unfortunately, Jeff only had time to print out a few. I’ll add the rest later as he gets them to me. We took the shots in the painting room because of the space and lighting they had available there. On a usual basis, one of these takes me five days to make, but if I get lazy or sick maybe a week or three, lol. I've finished Sacha's kimono as well, he said he'll pay me this month... he better!

Here’s treat for y’all. I’ve scanned the four pages I made so far for that completely ya- I mean shoujo manga I planned on making along with Hagane no Kasa. Oh and I decided to call it Venus no Ofuro (The Bath of Venus). Why? I had a revelation in my last Mass Media class and this was the result. Bwhahahaha! One thing though, there are no plans for the pages I draw in this one, so what I’m doing is just making-up the story as I keep drawing. Fun, it gets things somewhere! These were done in pencil. What I’ll do is draw, scan, then completely draw over them with the tablet. I’ll make this one for printing as well. Btw, Alex gave me the translation, if it's wrong blame her! XD!!

Face Painting at Palloween!

There was an event at my school today called Palloween. Almost all of the clubs plan some sort of fun activity for a couple hundred children that come to visit and enjoy. We, the National Art Honor Society, decided to face paint!

I must say, I have come to appreciate face painters. It's not an easy task! Especially when the children are restless, and the paints are not good quality ones! Due to those factors, I actually messed up quite a bit... but the children are normally grateful to anything you do, and like just about everything you draw on their skin!

It was a great experience, and I'd definitely do it again :3

I took pictures with every kid's face that I painted except for two (one was too shy, and the other ran off as soon as I finished the last stroke). You can view the whole gallery here, but I'll showcase a few in my post~ In most of them, I look like I'm trying too hard to smile >_<

This took place before the event. I dressed up as a black doggy, and actually painted my own nose--but my teacher thought it would be cute to take a picture of a dude (that I don't know, lol) pretending to paint my face.

My first customer! I had no idea how to draw a good tiger with the materials I had...

This kid was so friendly! I was actually ringing up conversations with every one I painted; I felt like a hairdresser conversing randomly with her clients; and this guy talked a lot (in a good way)! It was an easy one, too.

This little guy was adorable! He wanted me to make him "Venom" from Spiderman, and when his parents saw that his whole face was black, they nearly freaked! And then ended up teasing him a bit, but the two of us thought it was awesome =p

I actually only painted the ghost on the face of the kid next to me, but his brothers didn't want to be left out of the picture! So... here's the four of us!

Palloween was so fun...! Stuff like this makes me want to work with kids. I love seeing them smile, and say thank you, and looking at their little faces in all of these pictures.

Drawing Portfoilio STARTOH!

A lot has happened since I've last updated.

I turned 18-years-old on September 19! Whooohooo I'm legal!
I took about a week's trip to Baltimore, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York!
While I was in Baltimore I visited Maryland Institute College of Art's campus. It's the university I want to attend.
And my drawing portfolio class has begun! And my, I already have some work done that I'll share real soon~

But first I'll briefly touch on MICA. It's an art college, not a liberal arts university. So my focus would definitely be art if I went, and I'm planning to apply and be accepted. While I was on the campus, I had the opportunity to speak with one of the admissions counselors. She reviewed my portfolio and told me that I could get scholarships for not only my academic achievements, but the work I had to offer, as well! It was very exciting.

The campus, too, is beautiful. MICA consists of 28 buildings total, all in walking distance of each other, located in downtown Baltimore!

Baltimore is my kind of city, too. Lively, cultural... nothing like Texas. I'm looking forward to residing there.

As for my drawing portfolio, I'll show you three pieces I've done in the past couple of months.

I call this one What He Left. It's a still life done in ebony of my older brother's belongings. A sound-canceller, a hunting knife, gun shells, a trombone mute... Because my brother is off to college now, and this is all I have left of him at home.

The next two are called "concentrations," where everyone basically chooses an idea or subject (ie. human figure, emotions, technology) and incorporate that same concept into a vast collection of artworks. My concentration is wolves.

Untitled artwork as of now. This is a wolf looking over a herd of bison in a valley. Not the best photograph, though. I'll probably end up taking a more professional-looking picture later, since it's too big to fit into my scanner! I wanted this piece to illustrate the huge and awe-inspiring territory of the wolf and emphasize the beauty of the scenery and nature itself. Before you say anything, the mountains took a very, very long time to draw. I never want to draw mountains again >_< And lastly, Wolf on the Inside, a charcoal painting which features my chihuahua puppy, Lucia, casting a shadow of a wolf on my dresser drawers! I wanted to communicate that even the littlest dog still retains its wolfish ancestry and instinct, that all canines relate back to the wolf, and it could possibly be in every single one of us. It was very difficult to get that perfect shot--she wouldn't sit still and I chased her around my room for 10 minutes x_x but I think the final result was well worth it.

So Jeff asked me find out the meaning of this little Chinese character (麺) on his laptop cover. I asked two (reliable) sources for help and we discovered that it wasn’t Chinese. It was Japanese, (Kanji) lol. And you know what it means? (Use your imagination for a moment.) This character is surrounded by little clouds, stars, a flower and some dragon. What could it mean?!

Wow, it’s been 10 years, 10 bloody years since I last walked into our neighborhood KimPhat (an Asian/exotic grocery store of all sorts). Oh and here’s a bonus for you guys. I was drawing along with a friend of mine (Amelia, Anna, Amanda; I forget her name) the other week and well I tagged along, lol. I drew the same person as her, but of course the end result varied. Meet Fred guys.

Yea it’s terrible. The image we were drawing was in a very hard light so the shadings were mostly clad black, and it was also a very, very small image. I think his name was Fred... I’m not sure. =P

Ein told me to update next, which was last week ago, I believe. Now I'm here! yay!

Actually. I got nothing to show y'all. Yep. I'm in a writing block. I finished my story, started with the sketches and everything, but now I'm re-organizing the storyline, again. I just wanted to make it in a way to show my ideas as better as possible. It's like those legendary samurai swords that has to be harnessed over and over for 700 times just to claim its purity.

Also, I've been indulged in so much junk information in my head that I've started getting mild amnesia. Information like 2012, Mayan calendar, Esoteric agendas, Michael Tsarion, Large Hadron Collider, and such. I'm not kidding, lately, it's becoming hard to remember my own address, telephone numbers, etc etc. Or probably I'm just lazy at this certain point.

In any case, I still have a few things for show-and-tell.

Here's one: Did you guys know I found out how to actually render animations? Really? Oh wow! I did not know that! You must be some fricking genius to figure it out! Yeah, I know, it's purely by accident though. No! I mean, its such a great discovery! Heh, thanks, voice in my head, thank you.

Well, I've been using this for awhile now. Or rather, I haven't been experimenting with it much.

For everyone that has no idea what I'm talking about, check my other animation videos. As you can see, they have crappy video quality. That's due to youtube's file shrinking dealie, but it's still in low quality to begin with. I have an animation lately, called Fireball, that one was in high-quality RENDERED animation.

You see, the old videos are just previews. In photoshop language, its a difference between a print screen of your work and your ACTUAL completed work.

It's better. Its best. Animations are supposed to be rendered, in my own sense I guess.

Also, I've managed to understand hair, cloth functions, and they can only be used in this way.

To summarize, I was dragged out of the house (i.e. my room) by Evil O.S. Watchers Alex and Cat. Where I was going exactly I wasn’t sure... Oh Alex and Cat where were you bringing this old man?!

We ended up in Mont-Royal. Supposedly we were to meet another group, but we didn’t. Instead, we ended up in this costume store and they (Alex and Cat) forced me to try on all sorts of things! Next time I’m bringing Davis at least and I don’t care if I must drag him out naked from his place. AND I’LL BE BACK FOR THAT COWBOY HAT!! >=D!!!

Then we went to Chinatown and had bubble tea... that blueberry tea was intense, lol.

Path to Heaven

Anyway, back to the art business! I’ve completed the required designs and notes needed to make my preview manga of Hagane no Kasa. Well technically it’s the first chapter, but it’s more like a preview, lol. I’m aiming for 25-30 pages, maybe more. All I need to do now is make a quick sketch on a printed copy of the school map of their movements within the school. If I don’t I’ll get lost, and since it’s a fight scene I’ll need all the advantage I can get. I’m pretty much all-clear now.

I’ll be drawing the manuscript on paper, making sketches here and there. Then I’ll scan them and ink them. Finished product! After that I’ll need some help for the printing so I’m going to have to ask around.

As you can see, the school’s all done. I’m not sure if you guys can read my handwriting, but oh well. I had to resize this couple of times. Right now it’s about the same size and the Mabinogi fan-poster I made last season. Such a pain to save everytime...

Oh and no, I’m not showing off the villains! You’ll see them when you’ll get to see them! >=D!! I’m quite excited to start this actually. Finally some action!

About O.G.K. I realized that I should get something started in that. I don’t think I’ll have enough pre-made pages, lol. I’ll probably start it while I’m drawing HnoK, just to give myself a short break from time to time. I still have to make the new designs. >.>

The End of Summer Vacation

I forgot to mention to most of you that I got a new puppy 2 months ago! As of today, she's a rich chocolate-brown, 7-month-old chihuahua; and a spoiled one at that! She only wants to sleep on pillows, blankets, and/or my bed, will cuddle next to me when I sleep, will lay on my lap if I sit down, eats when I eat, doesn't bark, and is potty-trained! A perfect little baby :3 And she's my perfect little baby! Bwahaha!

I've been spending my summer with her, and sure am happier than ever before. Yesterday I took her with me to Petco, bought her a cute pink gingham collar, and engraved her a little heart tag with her name it on, "Lucia."

So I took Lucia to the dog park today, and she loves people more than other dogs! Probably because she was the smallest one there. She tucks in her little tail and winces when other dogs come to sniff her. She got so scared that she would try to stay safe on my lap or between my legs most of the time... But I think she got slightly better as time passed, attempting to walk around on her own and greeting the dog owners. I'm hoping she'll be a little more social next time...

On a more artistic note, I finished all of my shirt designs last week and sent them in! In exchange, I obtained $40 for simply spending time on the graphics. If the church actually uses them, I'll not only receive more money, but some publicity and an additional snippet to include in my resume~ Hohoho! Here are the rest of the designs:

I'll present this one first since I hate it the most. I only had one night left before the deadline, and I just wanted something, anything that would be more suited for boys, since my ideas were mostly feminine. But I believe I was more worried about time than quality, and as a result produced these sorry scribbles >: I didn't intend for it to look like it was drawn by a toddler, but I was hoping for it to look rough or raw. I should have cleaned it more, or made it more artistic somehow, but didn't play around with the idea enough. To be honest, I would be drawn to a shirt in this style if it was just a bit more refined, and I think that's what I needed to do. Refine it. I guess I'll come back to this thought sometime in the near future, but not now.

I love my iPod. I love wolves. So why not put an iPod and a wolf together?! What a lovely combination! Even though it looks fairly simple, it took me awhile to clean up the edges and get the proportion right! I drew the wolf from scratch, with no references. And I probably redid its legs/backside 5 times D: I love the result though, and may print this on a shirt for myself! The final version excludes the "iHowl" text.

Wolf face, sketched on paper and left in its rough form. I think he looks more charming that way :D However I pictured this one being aligned on the left or right side of the shirt. Smack dab in the middle would seem too awkward, but I never told my client that... oh well.

And lastly, the secondary-colored sheep! Bwahaha, I should make this into a shirt of my own, too~ A friend gave me the idea to do just a sheep, but I advanced it into color and pattern. I think it'll be fairly popular amongst young ladies =p This concludes the shirts.

School starts on Monday, and I have no idea what to expect from my AP Drawing class! I'll try harder this year, for sure. That's because...

Good evening evil minions of the O.S. crew! I have finally arrived (no thanks to drunkduck and deaviant art). Anyways, I'll be presenting you guys my first comic strip ever created in drunkduck.

Mentally Challenged

I guess I should should explain my strip now... You may all notice that the tittle of the strip is room 524a. Well in the convention, alex (a friend of ours) forced us to go to the yaoi panel. Here all the screaming yaoi fan-girls enjoy seeing skinny, pale and desperate otaku guys kissing each other. They did more horrible things that makes me want to pour acid in my eyes. Then after we went to see a whole bunch of episodes of hard-gay which really twisted my view of reality. It was hilarious. Hence, my comic strip.

Tired... so tired. Need to drink more Japanese soda-pop... GAHHHHH!!

Yep, it’s my turn now. Anyway, we’re back from Matsuri Japon, and boy was it fun. Food was abundant (though with huge arse lines) and the Arashi Daiko drum people could be heard all over the Old Port of Montreal. Needless to say we Evil O.S. people are gluttons and we ate like gluttons (well okay, mainly me, Alex and Cat. They’re our Evil O.S. followers, hehehehehe)! I think I tasted over 4 Japanese traditional festival dishes; I can’t really remember, we just kept buying, lol. Yakisoba, a bento lunch box, some beef with rice plate and some weird ketchup tasting soy-sauced pancake... thingy, I don’t remember their respective names, but I’m sure Alex and Cat do. Oh, and let’s not forget the Japanese Soda-pop! *mouth foaming* When Alex sends me the pictures we took with her cellphone, I’ll post them after this paragraph (ya we didn’t have a camera Orz).

Note that they’re all drawn in the Korean webcomic style. I felt it was more appropriate this way since I originally started playing Mabinogi(mmo) in the Korean servers; same reason why the all the npcs, featured in the fancomic, all speak Korean.

I do have to say that I did not like working on this, lol. Drawing that Witch (the mascot) killed my determination. Especially since I changed the style of drawing, the first two were done a year earlier, and I liked the simple quickie style I gave it. Now, it’s just... meh. I should have just rushed it. Oh and the quality died because this is originally print-size; resizing it killed it.

OH WELL, this is the last one! No more fancomics! I’m going back to O.G.K. and Hagane no Kasa!!

I’m off to work on O.G.K.’s new logo now, MUCH FUN! >=D!!

As you can see, I'm trying to buy time to make up an excuse on why it took more than a week to write the otakuthon convention report. Well, ummm, so here's my report!

No, I couldn't find an excuse; I'll make up for it, keep reading.

Montreal Otakuthon Report.
JxKnight reporting in 2100 hours of the 11th of august, 2008

We were in the convention the ENTIRE weekend. From morning till night, saturday and sunday, when they let the ninjas loose to attack us, Evil OS were there to thoroughly go nuts on the entire convention.

Next time we’re making shirts with our insignias on them. We should really give them a heads up that were there, hehehe.

Anyways, let’s start with the lines. There we’re a lot of lines. One of the lines we went, we didn’t even got in. Mehh, oh well. Just to show that there were a lot of people this time around; I’m thinking it doubles each year. The place was neat; it’s like being in an airport, filled with otakus, but more yaoi-concentrated otakus.

Oh, yeah, the yaoi, there were so many yaoi. Not cool, mann. Not cool.

Don’t get me wrong, you have every right to choose your own anime likings. I'm not a hater. But come on, practically half of the convention were all about yaoi. Something was too much, you know?

Well… at least Alex and Davis enjoyed it.

Yeah, ok, I enjoyed it too.

Not in that sense.

Definitely not.

Err...

We also got to meet Alex and Cat that Sunday. Alex was in cosplay of an anime that I only realized what it was when she showed me the DVD box of it in the shops. Hehehe, it was certainly fun. I’m just sorry if I couldn’t appear much during Sunday and only seeing Cat and Jedi master Mike for a small moment. Oh you know, from all the constant alien abductions, scorpion ladies, jamming headaches and killer ninja hippos, there isn’t that much time to spend on everything. Hey, at least I got to play the Taiko drums and see Alex, Cat and Davis do some Japanese folk dances.

Speaking of the new EVIL OS member, MisterDavis, this is a reminder to everyone to check if the “yaoi panel” trigger word still works on him. It might be something we can turn to a potentially awesome weapon. Thanks.

Also, a moment to thank Ein’s cousin Mike for the free meals, and he was also the one with the best costume that Saturday. The Hawaiian shirt really made my day mann. And I’d also like to have permission to post up your Sunday Jedi outfit. That was the best star wars related cosplay I’ve seen in the entire floor.

I guess it’s the same “screeching girl, crazy cosplayers, taiko drums, 404s comedies, randomly meeting awesome people, crappy jrock music, Saturday night dance with only creepy and extremely odd Japanese techno rave music, wild spending on stuffs“ kind of convention.

Ok, that’s all for the report, let’s get down to business.

First of all, I’ve decided to upload back all of the pages from the old Heroes Adventures comic. It’s going to be updating 2-3 times a week. I’ll also include everything that was used from my old comic story: fanarts, other stories, profiles, etc. I’ll probably even scan and upload the really old story if I can scan it correctly, or if the paper didn’t turn to ash yet.

Umm, let’s see… Nope, nothing else to report for now. I’m still working on a script for my latest project. It’s quite hard to decide on minimizing story details when you’ve been used to add in random ideas and make it as long as possible.

Attack of the Shirts!

Lately my motivation level has been erratic! Usually it's on the low side, but nowadays I am receiving sudden bursts of energy that force me to drop everything I am doing at that instant and take advantage of the flowing creativity! Useful at times, but frustrating when it escapes me in the next couple hours. I need someone to kick me into gear...

Maybe an artistic boyfriend...?

About a week ago I was commissioned to make some T-shirt designs for a church fund raiser. Hell, I don't even go to church, but I'm getting paid for it nevertheless. It's one of those "Donate X amount of money and get a 'free' shirt!" deals. I'm supposed to be intriguing children, so I hope I haven't failed too hard in doing so.

Anyone familiar with the "Five Little Ducks" song? It's where I got the inspiration for this simple design. It's just a children's tune that goes,

Five little ducks went out one day,
Over the hill and far away.
Mother duck said, "Quack, quack, quack, quack!"
But only four little ducks came back.

And it continues until no little ducks remain! But do not worry! Mother duck finds them all at the end of the song and they are a happy, reunited family :D I love this song, and sing it on a regular basis. I even taught myself how it goes in Portuguese!

This design was actually an edit of an old artwork I made a year ago that I wasn't very fond of. If you want to, you can see how I changed it from the original. It was a beautiful idea, yet terrible drawing. I really just replaced the subjects with a stylized boy and girl, and I wanted this to look sweet and hopefully remind everyone of loving kindness and generosity that we humans possess.

To be honest, I have no idea if I am done with this or not. It looks too simple, but at the same time I cannot think of what would make it any more interesting. I've changed the direction of the pupils many times, but I dunno what looks best... in all, this was just an experiment but I'm praying that the kids will love it anyway D:

Last weekend's Otakuthon Convention was a blast! Me, Ein, JxKnight and the newly abducted member (he's in the shadows before...) MisterDavis went together to attend the con. I Don't Really Like Rainy Days

Fun and simple to make. This was a piece that was "in the moment," you know, made spontaneously with everything I felt at that place in time slapped onto it. There's lots to see, and at the same time, nothing to look at. But while I was crafting this work, in the process of discovering a little more about myself, I figured that rainy days aren't so bad, afterall.

Look out, dudes and dudettes! I'm gonna try my hardest to be involved again! And it looks like Lia took away my power to edit the stuff that I'm up to D: I'm doing something, I swear!

Ein - Hagane no Kasa Characters

Ein- “I originally wrote most of this Thursday morning, but I never finished, lol. So I’m posting it now, but I’ll keep writing as if it was still Thursday. I did finish the art before Thursday though.”

It’s odd. This morning, I took one of my underpants from my drawer and I noticed a logo on the back side I never knew was there. It was called Authentic. Now I wonder, are there bootleg underpants out there in the world, lol? Someone post an article about bootleg underpants if they ever find one! XD

So ya, as promised I finished the designs for the main characters. It didn’t take long, since I already finished three out of the four prior to my last post.

I present to you the main characters of Hagane no Kasa: Lia, Galve, Nozomu and Ivan. They all have different paths, of course, but they all have the same goal: to defeat that EVIL WITCH!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

*Coughs* Anyway, to add a little more detail, I’ll describe them a little. I won’t go into terminology right now. I’ll just give a general explanation in parenthesis.

Lia is a Chaser (a kind of hunter) who desires to destroy the evil Witch of Abaddon, Cyane (the main antagonist, also known as The Empress of the Underworld). He has a personal agenda and usually acts alone. His personality isn’t exactly cold, but he does sometimes think indifferently of others. A special kind of spear, which he fabricated himself, is his weapon of choice.

Galve is the most popular girl in St. Francine (private high school) and is a member of the student council. Often being chased by everyone, she finds herself overwhelmed with work. However, she takes pride in her duties and cares greatly for her friends. Her weapon is a homemade revolver, fabricated and given to her by Lia.

Nozomu is a member of the student council and is in charge of cleaning the room. Lia and the other guys tease him frequently, and he often falls asleep at any given moment which annoys Galve and Ivan when they need him. Regardless, he is an excellent fighter in close range. He wields the Legendary Sword Rêverie as his main weapon.

Ivan is a delinquent and often picks fights with other guys in the school. He’s determined to become stronger and won’t let anyone get in his way. Often rash, many of the girls in the school refer to him as a brute. His weapon of choice is his own fists, though he also uses knuckles in some situations.

Well that’s about it for now, pretty general huh? Hehehe, it’ll all reveal itself once the manga gets going anyway. You’ll just have to wait and see.

I’m quite tired actually, so I’ll get to work on this as soon as I finish that mini comic for Mabinogi.

It Begins... AGAIN!

Hello it's been a while hasn't it? Sorry for not updating, but I've been brainstorming recently about my comics and all. I finally came to a realistic conclusion. I'll never finish em. Why? Simple, I planned it too much and never got them started!

So instead, I'm going to make a new comic and this one with less planning. I'll draw a manuscript in paper by chapter and I'll simply draw it in tablet afterwards. No more planning too far ahead. This way I'll actually get them done.

As for the story, I decided to combine elements of the comics I already wrote about. That means: T.B.E.S., Ma.Na. Link and Crossroads. I already know where the story is heading. (Had this crazy idea that came all together in one night around 3am, I actually got up and started writing down notes.) It’s a fantasy, action and love story genre. I already have the main protagonists as well. There are 4 of them, all based on these people I met here and there. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!! BWHAHAHAH!!!)

Oh right, the title! I present to you, my dear compatriots, Hagane no Kasa! (The Steel Umbrella. “Fate” helped me with the kanji, if it’s wrong go bash him not me!) >=D!! Guess what it’s about, lol. Well, it’s not as simple as you think, the name can be deceiving. Anyway, that’s all I’ll say for now, I’ll be back next week with an update D=.

So no one's going to update huh? Everyone "seems" to be busy or haven't "been" to the blog recently eh? Aah well, I'll update again, then I want every member to update soon!! Yaarrggh

For this morning I'm just going to a bunch of my own favorite videos on the net. They're all mixed around together. And since I don't have any new art to show, yet, I'll just put most of this in this little update!

Ok lets start with....

Aah, this is part of my entries so, let's start with something martial artsy.. Drunken Boxing.

Watch Jackie Chan's movie "The Legend of the Drunken Master" (not sure if its the correct title). But the movie had great movements of this style. Although quite strange and energy consuming to average people, the techniques shown here are intensely illuding. Tricking opponents that the drunk is weak, obviously handicapped, or might even hurt him/herself, Drunken boxing is creates a shield of deception to win a fight.

Next up: Let's try an Awareness test.

Summer just started here, I'm working on so much stuffs at the moment. I'm suppose to put up another martial arts video here, but that'll wait for another post. There's alot of things I got planned for summer, and this week is where it'll begin! SO let's start with this:

Fireball was a digidesign project I had for college. Its a freeform assignment, so I wanted to show what I could do so far in 3ds max.

If I remember correctly, in this shot, I used 1 camera, 12 omni lights (yes, not too sure on how to use spotlights yet), 50+ text splines, and about a gajillion key frames. I still don't know how to use multi-cameras, but I know its possible. So for changing shots, I just moved the camera incredibly fast to a single key frame. So one frame youre on shot A, the next frame the camera must move to shot B, something like that.

The text splines are animated along with the camera. It looks 2D but the entire animation is in 3D. The lights are everywhere so that there's barely any shadow or depth created.

This took about 4-5 days of going insane with max. I got lazy in many parts, especially in the end. Anyways, hope you like it.

I'll make another post soon. I just need to get some stuffs on track before I mention any of my next projects ^_^

Ok I'm done. Just wanted to express and say out loud my hatred against newbies in Mabinogi. I don't know... I just hate them, ever since NA started. Can't stand them; I just pretend that everyone is speaking Korean again. God, I loved those ol'days.

ANYWAY, here's something I sketched out during my free time in school.

It doesn't represent anyone in my latest comics, but I'm thinking about that girl there. Maybe I can use her for something. Maybe. As for that guy and the weird little fellow, I started wanting to draw weirder themed "stuff" for a change and hey I kind of like this. I'll probably incorporate this into TBES or something, we’ll see!

And here’s a preview of The Stalker Part 3, shades remind me of Batman for some reason, lol. Not much to say now, I got class soon so I better wrap it up. I’ll finish this mini-strip this Thursday or Friday maybe.

Sorry for my late update, I've been busy lately. I want to draw and make a new OC designs but I can't find the time to do it. I tried to manage my time but alas, there really are unexpected events and what not. I, however, wondered how I have time to stare aimlessly in my computer doing nothing (well, listening to songs and forums and site and etc...you get the idea). :D

I joined the people who went crazy over this song and a-short-dance-which-is-not-really-a-dance. I made this in school, drawing all 14 frames with mouse, coloring it one by one and then made a GIF in ImageReady. It's small but it look good even with those fugly lines. ^^;

Good evening Evil O.S. users!

This was suppose to be posted 3 days or a week ago. But hey, atleast its here now, right? RIGHT? goooood.

So far, everything's kinda going on schedule for me here. I noticed that its already 2008, thats good news. I began working with my portfolio already and its suppose to finish in, well, about one more year. So I'm just taking more learning-majiggs with traditional works (next semester) and still on 3dsmax.

And yeah, I got a new animation to show you guys. Lots of new ones.

As for the comic I'm making, it utterly paused for now, unfortunately. The college essays kinda jammed all at once to me, so I'm stuck writing them. But no worries, summer will save me. Oh god please summer break save me!

Why am I talking so weird? Must be all the jabbawockeez videos I've been watching recently...

So yeah, lets start with the animations.

First, just a quick modeling bit. I tried to make something random in under 30 mins or an hour something. This was 2am in the morning, so euhh, well give me a break lol.

The next one is, well its suppose to be the Gundam model I'm suppose to make. But...

Yeahhh, it turned to this. This took an entire morning to make, until late afternoon I believe. And still having a massive headache after.

Oh, don't worry Ein and Mike, I'll still make the Gundam. MUCH better than this of course. I noticed that I have to make it in different parts to create a better uniformed coloring.

And lastly, The walking man...

I finally found the Biped footsteps mode! A single button in the damn program loll... I think I can make the guy run and do some Parkour acrobatics soon too.

I really want to make a Parkour style animation. Or atleast something about Naruto. See the style on how the naruto "ninjas" run with their hands flailing on the back like some crazy things? Yeah, thats actually pretty easy to animate. Trust me, they don't make you aerodynamic. I think its a strain to your arms and a waste of energy. It also makes you look like a chicken running lol.

Well thats about it. No martial arts stuffs for now. Speaking of that, I really should put my own martial art in here. Well later on then.

I'm still waiting for spring break to go artistically mad on projects with 3dsmax and the comic works. And yes Ein and Ein's cousin, I am working on the gundam, just bare with me for a sec here. I'm on the part of the tutorial where its giving me assignments now.

Naturally, I would give something about martial arts in here, but its not like its my only addiction. I actually wanted to show here my recent research on crazy stuffs, but I can't post them here. Its hard enough for the channel itself to keep it on youtube. Anyways, I'll put this one instead. I love this one, just shows the many of our own capabilities.

Qi, (Chi, Ki, etc..) is Life force. Its generally the term when describing anything that a living being uses to.. well, live.

Yin and Yang is a representation of everyone and everything, basically, the universe and reality. The Heavens and the Earth, Dark and Light, Yin and Yang.

Yin = Dark, female contrast (chaos)
Yang = Light, male contrast (order)

Everything in the world can be represented by these two. The idea is not to divide them like what western culture provides (the idea of good vs evil and good always wins)

The philosophy is that Light must co-exist with dark. One cannot live without the other. the idea on which is good or bad was never an issue, is that one contrast depends on the other contrast. Both must exist.

Speaking of human being's fullest capabilities, this is another "ultimate samurai sword skill". Oh yeahh

This is something I specially made for our guild in Mabinogi NA. Not much to look at really. This has to be one of my most "decent" ones. GOD I hate that leaf. I might as well used the marijuana leaf and it would have looked better. Didn't like the color either, it was TOO green at first, then TOO yellow. I was sort of able to balance the usage of color now, but... well it's better than before. Hell, you all know how much I hate using color and how much I suck at it.

I used only PS7 as usual, nothing too fancy. Drawing that babe was awesome, I managed to draw her the way most women do it in manga. It's a style I want to acquire, lol, ya weird for a guy to try it. OMG YAOI!! Ya... next I'll draw two guys naked in the same room. J/k lawlz.

And yeah, that's about it.

OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!

Well this is something I made during my last semester at school for a final project. The idea came from a little chat I had with Fate. I think we were talking about Clannad or Little Busters, I forget. Anyway, then suddenly this spawned in my head.

Bwhahahaha!! You all realize I’m just teasing him right? I told him beforehand that I’ll make a hangman sculpture of him anyway. I just assumed he knew what I meant by “hangman”, lol.

The materials used for this were mostly acquired from the dollar store at the nearby mall, though, Fate himself is purely recycled. Remember that Fate Voodoo Doll that I might have mentioned to some of you earlier on? I never finished it, so I thought I’d use it for something, lol. It was a pretty easy project to do just that transporting it to school was a pain. 8:00am in the metro, with this giant box... going to school... presenting it orally to the class.

Hehe so my dear, dear Fate, do you still want to make that dragon of yours eat me? XDD!! *Makes another sculpture of him* j/k lol.

Ah, yes, why am I late for this update. Well you see, I got side-tracked. Yes, again! I had this really awesome idea for a fanart and well I sort of have a habit of making fanarts print-size now. See?

I call it INRIGUMI! BwhahHAHAHAHA!! Better than Dick Knights, no? I wanted to post it here finished, but I didn’t make it in time. =P

It’s unfinished, as you can see. The reason why I’m doing this again is to test the direct inking technique I created for Photoshop. Since I hate using experimental techniques on a live project, I wanted to try it out first before I do anything else stupid. And well, it works fine! I really like it; manga toning is fun, no more forsaken coloring!! There are only 4 characters here, excluding Fate’s Ego Sword Spirit. At least it won’t take as long, but I want to do this other thing later. Yes another poster, and yes for experimental reasons. I want to test the technique on an actual manga paneling. You’ll see! I’ll talk more about it next time.

Hey there people!
First of all, I would like to apologize for the late (realllly late) post. An unexpected event happened last two weeks. My lil' bro was hospitalized and since then I'm having trouble sleeping because of staying in the hospital, going home late and so on. You'll get the idea.

*ahem*

I really really like to post my works but most of then aren't finish. I've been busy re-designing my characters and adding new twist in my stories. Unfortunately I'm too distracted to focus on story making and putting the pieces together.

I was 'kinda' inspired to color it, since western comics have a different technique when it comes to drawing characters and coloring. It's quite a challenge. It's supposed to be colored the same way as the original Spawn cover but I did an experiment and it worked. ^^

I'm so happy to make something like this since my style was heavily influenced by Japanese anime/manga. There's a possibility of another fanart/western style art like this in the future.

Right now I'm starting a comic. I have a lot of character sketches and information but I still have to manage them. I'll announce when it comes out.

Sorry for the one week late post. School bombarded me with tons of exams and presentations so suddenly this week. I'm not even suppose to update anything ti'll wednesday or something, but might as well do this now before the admin scolds me or something.

So today, hmmmmm, let see what we can update in here...

Yeah, Ein, I know, I'll put the X-wings, I'll put em later on.

But let's see what I can update around... Hmmm, well all I've been working around here are actually just 3dsmax and a brand new comic storyline I'm tinkering with.

The story's done, I'm working on plans for the pages now. The title's suppose to be clear now, but it has a few issues because it kinda became too, well, ...offensive. Well, not really, it just started with a simple, quick story: A story of a group of kids in a simple adventure, whatnot. But then I added this, I contexted that, now it turned to be an entire complex backstory that might shock a few catholics. Hehehe.... I went overboard on that one.

But its still on going. I made the story simple enough again, since that was the original plan. When this comic is completed, this will be my first 100% complete story ready for printing. Well it is made for printing. And since its the first one I'll be making in this form, I can't really have anything that might offend a few people, and scare the hell out of me =P

I don't have anything to show you right now, but of course Evil OS gets to see the first page/s of it, of course.

As for 3dsmax...Well, I began my crazy plan of taking out every single anime I watch regularly and replace it all with 3dsmax video tutorials. Thats right, everything that got me addicted to japanese anime and reading subs for 30mins / 1hour shows has now all been replaced with video tutorials that are direct in their teaching. Well, the guy is great, he's recording the audio of his class while he's teaching this on video. I'd like to see a hands-on 3d animation teaching one day... one day.

As for the video tutorials I currently go insane about right now, you can all get it free in www.3dbuzz.com. The tutorials are free, but I believe you have to sign up first.

And thank you once again to The Great ein's Cousin for showing me the site eons ago. Sorry if I just touched it recently, but hey, I'm making improvements now. Learning about splines, object textures and whatnot.

TAE KWON DO!!!!!

Yes, Taekwondo. Oh yeahhh. You think just because I'm busy with stuffs now that I won't post another martial arts overview huh? You think that, huh? Huh!? Well, no kidding tough guy! You want one, you got it!
.....I apologize for that, you see, I just woke up. Badly... So lets start this.

Eastern Asia's countries have been heavily influenced by fighting arts. Practically every major countries in the eastern coast of the Pacific has martial arts they can proudly call their own (China, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, etc) The list goes on. The source? Hmmm, my opinion from research is a major influence from China, since it is the dominating and earliest of many ancient civilization.

However, as I said again about martial arts' complex and confusing history line, we can't actually track it down. I won't go with the details, because I already did it earlier and it turned to be a two page paragraph.

So yeah, Taekwondo. This is, once again, coming from Korea's own historyline, which I am not familiar of. What I know is that it originates from many fighting arts that's spanning the entire country back then. But all of it was suppressed by Japanese occupation in 1910 until 1945 (around the end of the second World War). After that, many schools rises teaching many different techniques coming from korean, japanese and chinese influences. So all the schools unite and created a single name for the martial arts "Taekwon-do".

Taekwondo, "The way of the foot and fist", is famed for its kicking techniques. Its a unique change to Chinese and Japanese arts. Not that they don't have punching, but its about 80% kicks. The idea in here is that kicks are physically the most powerful attack a person can ever do. Not just power, but also in its range, with the inability for the opponent to even retaliate. Because of this, Taekwondo offers the development of speed, balance, power, flexibility and stamina to the practitioner.

And now, yeahhh, I know Ein, I know. I'll put the X-wings.

It's not really a big thing. And yes, I know, the modeling was horrible. If you can see it, I messed up on the wings. I was just trying on the camera animation on how far I could take it on. This is the kind of animation where pretty much the cameraman does all the work. You're suppose to balance the two, but focus on the object's movement first.

In cinemas, you figure out what the character is going to do first, then you get the cameraman to shoot the best angle for the movements. Next I'll work on fighting animation, when I figured out how to put sound effects. Speaking of sound, look, theres sound! Its Heroes' Comeback by NobodyKnows. Yeah, its the ol' naruto song. I also figured out the spray particle to show the lightspeed thingy on the background. Its the same as making snow, for some reason.

Boss Lia has gotten the whip out on me again and told me to update after closed beta... Time to update or die~

This is really... kind of old stuff, but I don't have any worthy sketches at the moment. Most of them are just playing around with comic formats and whatnot... @_@ When I got some solid designs of those down, I'll be sure to post them here.

So anyway, this was quick concept art for a game my friends and I were experimenting with a while back. XD There was going to be two major worlds in the game: one sort of dreamy and surreal, and another world kind of... twisty and mischievous, bordering on nightmarish.

I was going to do a lot of work on the nightmare world since my work is usually a bit darker and edgy. I'd made a lot of sketches like these quickly to try and piece together what this nightmare world might look and feel like.

I was also going to do lots of monster designs for that world. Lemme tell you, making the nightmare creatures was fun. XD I wouldn't mind going back to doing it again.

Don't know if we'll ever attempt to revive the project, but I think we all had the potential to at least get some of it done. O_o My friend even composed some music for it, which I think is still totally awesome even today. You can listen to a song he did here:

*AHEM* This is a fanart poster of a famous Korean MMORPG called Mabinogi. Well, the game’s on NA Close Beta now, though I’d still sneak in the Kr Mabinogi for a few sneak peeks on what’s new. I’ve been playing it for about 3 years now I believe. We’ve gone a long way! And this is where I met these people that you see here on the poster. The ones on the poster are the people I played with the most and whom I communicate with often. Anyway, this poster was originally 40cm x 60cm, tablet drawn, and I already got it printed out actually, right after I finished it. I was up until 4am yesterday. I sent it immediately and got it printed out later in the day. (Thanks Tony and company! Hehe!) It looks really cool in print compared to the net version =D. NONE of the details comes out when you look at it from the computer. The print version shows every little intricate detail I made, which is quite unfortunate I can’t show that here. Actually wait! *Goes into Photoshop*

See? Geez people! Why are there so many of you?! Yer all a pain to draw!! Lolz.

The people I had the most trouble drawing... HELL YOU WERE ALL HARD. One of the characters I had the most trouble with was Angevon. I, somehow, have lots of difficulty drawing characters from the side. ~_~ A basic flaw in my style really. I had to use a quite bit of reference on her part. INRI’s eyes were a problem too. His (yes HIS) emotion was just too weird. I had to redraw it several times to get it right. That’s the closest that I could get to what I wanted. Gulliver there I had trouble with, not because his facial was more realistic but because his head was HUGE!! His emote is inspired by the Easter Island statues XD. Dice, I hate your shirt!! It kept going through Xing. >.> Lia's pose is inspired by Lelouche from Code Geass, TeH EVIL!! Oh and the reason behind the G.I. Joes there is because I forgot to add them in last minute and I ran out of space. =P Fate? It was just for fun and to tease him. HEHEHEHE!! And darn it, I forgot Sai... T.T The background has these odd/weird French sentences that I randomly wrote, bless me for my French spelling/grammar, lol. It doesn't really show here, but in print it's noticeable. Oh, and INRI warned me about my crappy Korean spelling. I accidentally wrote Dick Knights instead of Dark Knights at a point, LOLz.

The idea for this poster came to me one (early) morning (around 3:30am) 3 weeks ago. I just got up and wrote names down as if I was writing in a Death Note, HEHEHEHE. Then I drew the placement of each character.

Actually I had started this project long ago, while I was still playing Kr Mabinogi in test. I was fishing on the boat one day and Rune was dinging me on the messenger (she’s crazy, lol). It just came to me, the vision!! And I had initially planned to do this...

No, I never finished it and I DON’T PLAN TO. Reason why is that, well, it’s not print size! This is probably like 10cm x 20cm or something, lol, some tiny crap. I’m crazy about printing sizes now! Dammit, it’s like an addiction, lol!

Yes that’s Chef Lia with his Liakitty ready to battle it out with the big bad dragon. No... no I’m not going to eat the dragon you dummy! XD

Though, I can't say I didn't learn anything from making this poster. I finally got the experience in working 3 weeks straight (well some days not straight, lol, but close enough) without diverging or aborting the project. It's valuable experience in my opinion. It's taught me that I really enjoy my work =). I got to know my limits too, and what I can do to improve myself. It's great ain't it?! >=D WATCH ME WORLD!!! I'LL PUBLISH A MANGA JUST YET!!!

Ah yes, before I wrap it up.

**Khenta’s planning to host the printsize version of the poster and two wallpapers. BUT!! Only for a week! YES SIR, MADAME that’s right, limited edition only! No, im not going away... (but that'll be great though..) But no, just wanted to put that because its related to my awesome 3d modeled spaceship that I'll present tonight! weeeee!

And yes Ein, I am stealing your next blog post, its been a damn week mann, I thought you'd finish that poster 3 nights ago? Oh, don't forget that I'll tag along to the printshop alright?

Speaking of tagging along, I have to tell some news about, well, me. yeah, me, I'm awesome, ego, ego, ego, blah blah blah.

But seriously, euhh... mann, this is awkward, I hope ein's cousin-san doesn't see this..

I'm aahh.. I've decided to cancel my comic The Heroes Adventures. As you can see on the link, its already been noted. It's nothing serious, I'm just thinking realistically. That story's been uber complex since day 1 that you now have an insane mind writing blog entries here in evil OS. Err, what I mean is it's a long story, and it'll probably take longer for me to finish it. Except of doing one humonguous story that not many people might pick up, I could just easily make sev....whoops, sorry folks, can't really say anything at the moment.

I have a new motto in mind for you Evil OS users.

I won't tell you what I will do or when will it'll be done.

I tell you what I have done.

Err, its like "Don't just say it, Do it." thingy...Aah, you get the idea.

But yeah, in time folks, in time. Mann, since when I actually call you guys by "folks"?? What the hell is that anyways?

Errr, now back to the main subject, my spaceship. That's right. I created a space ship.

In 3D! oooooohhhh.... aaaaaaaahhhhh...!

It's actually a simple design, there's still I need to learn on the software. Hmm, was it ein's cousin who got me the software? Ohh yes, thanks mann, here's the results of my madness on it. Sorry it took awhile, as you know, we're lazy folks.

This is actually extremely easy on 3DsMax once you get used to it. This is modeling using only a box primitive, converting it to an editable mesh, and just using move, bevel and extrude tools to create every part of the ship.

As you can see above, you can still recognize the box primitive on top of the "main jet engine" that looks like a VCR.

Yeah, its a VCR space ship.

Oh, if you can't understand the lingo on how I made this, let's put it in the language of photoshop. Simply speaking, I made a spaceship by modifying an simple object, a box for example, with using only simple tools. Its like drawing using just a brush and eraser tools.

The wireframes on this came along nicely, I still want to learn on how to do that "animating from wireframe to smooth textures" thingy, but that would be much cooler. Every part of that ship is still editable, from the segments, the corners, the shapes, everything. It's an easy program when you get used to it.

And now, for the youtube animation. Yeah, its the simple animation.

Pardon the crappy camera, its really annoying. It has a mind of its own for some reason.

Umm...hello minna-san! Riyunah here!
I'm new here, I was abduc....I mean invited both by Ein and JxKnight. They told me that this blog is evil, so yeah I joined. The more the merrier (and more evil mwahahaha).

So for my first post, I give (no just show lol) you this one:

She's one of my many (neglected) original characters that I'm currently working on.
I finished re-designing her outfits and now I'm trying various color schemes.
I was playing Radiata Stories the other day I was inspired by the game's character designs. And so I began sketching.
My next plan is her character sheet complete with name and other important stuff.

For my next act:

My main OC, Riyunah which I also use as my online identity well, just the name.
It's just a quick sketch in her acolyte outfit. I still have to work on her outfit because I think it's sloppy and fugly. :(

Oh, I kid. XD; It was my fault I nearly got removed from my favorite Evil O.S. @_@ Sorry for my absence, guys. Too much school = Bad for Spade.

I'll make sure to tell you all when I have such a random leave again. -_-; Good news is that I'm getting back on top of everything again. :D I think it's going to be smoother sailing until this school year is over...

Or at least we could all hope.

Anyway, if you're wondering who these characters are, they're Almaz and Mao from Disgaea 3. If you've never played a game from the Disgaea series/Nippon Ichi, I suggest you go run out and get one right now. >:D Strategy games are LOVE.

Speaking of that, I really need to get Disgaea 3 itself. @_@ The main three reminds me of my fellow Evil O.S. members for some reason... Almaz reminds me of Jeff, Raspberyl of Rune, and Mao of Lia. XD

Anyhow... the full picture of this has more characters but is still very... unfinished.

It was originally supposed to be a one panel joke about something regarding the characters, but I'm not sure if I'll complete it now. I kind of did it on whim from just... because I missed drawing fanart, really. XD

You can see parts on the skin are not really shaded and the chain on Mao's jacket isn't even colored. Also, the buttons on his arm... I need to erase the black layer over them so they'll show. His mouth also irks me...

One part I haven't drawn in on the colored version is Mao's glasses. You can see with how his hand is positioned it looks like he should be holding something.

Here's part of the basic sketch and why I erased the original glasses I drew. @_@ I don't think anyone holds the lens when they're picking up glasses, haha~ I figured I'd just redraw them later...

Ok, so "admin" says I have to put something relevant to art on my previous entry. But since I've been going out waay too much lately, here's another martial arts lecture.

One of my recent favorites: The Art of Parkour.

Although, errr, it's not exactly defined as a martial arts, since it has nothing to do with, well, fighting. Nonetheless, the discipline and training to attain many of their moves are similar to the fighting arts. Let's start:

Parkour originates from France. The activity evolved from the classic military obstacle course or "parcours du combattant". The main goal of Parkour and all of its techniques is to be able to get from point A to point B as efficiently and quickly as possible. "Traceurs" rely on their own human body to overcome obstacles in an emergency: trees, walls, stairs, people, etc..

What I personally like in Parkour is not the flashyness of the art. Although they show off pretty fancy tricks, the techniques lessens one's energy consumption in chases/escapes. Except of turning around an obstacle, go right through it directly.

Somehow, it reminds me of Wing Chun's use of the "centerline" in combat. No flashy tricks, just hit the opponent directly with efficiency and accuracy.

An important characteristic of parkour is efficiency. Practitioners move not only as fast as they can, but also in the least energy-consuming and most direct way possible. This characteristic distinguishes it from the similar practice of free running, which places more emphasis on freedom of movements, such as acrobatics. Efficiency also involves avoiding injuries, short and long-term. (wiki)

And, of course, here's a Parkour Fight scene. Well, he did have enemies, so its a fight.

Drawing-wise, Parkour drawings are excellent illustrations. Especially with alot of movement in the scenes. Hmmm, I should draw something like that later on.

Merry Christmas, all you whiners out there =P Pestering me every day to update... heh.

Ah don't worry, I'm not mad! Thanks for worrying about me... but I'm still tired as hell.

Here's a RO-related Christmas picture for two old friends of mine I've known for 2 years now. They're an awesome bunch & I love them dearly.

I kind of had fun with this one. I've been trying to stray farther and farther away from "traditional" anime and inch more towards realism--you know, rounded chins and almond-shaped eyes that are not 1/3 the size of the person's head :3 Also rounded noses and nostrils are nice~ I hope I'm getting better at that.

Since I normally have trouble with the background & lighting, I actually drew the background before shading the characters. However, I got really lazy with it, so I didn't bother adding detail. I do like how the shapes of the trees came out, though ^^; I think doing the BG before shading is a good idea, so when your product is finished you will have a developed environment and know exactly where your light source is coming from. The lighting is kind of everywhere in the pic because snow reflects light all crazy like that.

If you're wondering what it says on her headdress, it's "我爱我的朋友," or "I love my friend(s)." Excuse my crappy Chinese writing... it's not easy to write with a mouse >: Speaking of mice, I don't have a tablet, so everything except the character lineart (which was done on paper with ink pen) was done with a mouse.

SEE THAT’S WHAT IT’S LIKE OUTSIDE!! This all fell in one night and more came on the way during the day too. Though, this was about a week ago. =P

DUNGEONS, PENCILS, ERASERS, SCANNERS, LIONS & COMPUTERS

Well I have a special for you kiddies today!

Not much to look at ain’t it? Well it has a lot more value than you can possibly ever think! Probably worth millions, who knows!

Anyway on to the scavenging, on the first image to the left you’ll find the tools area. The shelf on top is where I put all my tools. (i.e. rulers, French rulers, ink, scissors, staples, paperclips, yoyos, flashlights, medication, knifes, swords, dirty money, etc.) Just ignore the 10 dollar bill on the table. Yes that’s my tea pot, and no it’s empty. I don’t JUST put tea in there, let’s say, lol. Below the shelf is my manga, I’ll go into detail later. My mouse’s an old Logitech ball mouse. I hate the laser ones, they lag a lot. Under the top images is a better view of the shelf. Oh my keys are visible too, hehe. *Takes them and hides them.*

Ah yes, my manga. I’d usually just buy random issues. I only use them for reference though. But surprisingly even though the beginning of the story is missing, they still make sense, lol. I got a bunch of action genres like Tenjho Tenge and Buso Renkin, but I also need to get myself some shonens. Of course, all for reference material XD. What kind of reference? Well for toning, shading, angles, paneling ideas, I only use them when I’m lost, lol. Measuring tape. And that’s my wallet under my bus card which is under a pack of pink stickies. Beside the tissue box is my pencil case. The characters you see written on the grey area of it is Ein in katakana. The other side says DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE, don’t ask why I scribbled that. XD

The last image shows a stack of CDs on the left, most is just backups since I’d usually format the computer after a while. Some are years old too, think I was 16 or something when that pile started. Ah yes the scanner. If you open it there’s a label that says “Get Ready for Windows 98” it’s that old! But, it works fine though. The other stuff you can’t see well I’ll show later below.

On the top left is a picture of my tower and my trash can. Few books on top of the tower. A Japanese tourist book and under it is a bird book. The pink thing beside the tower is an empty tissue box and NOT an empty box of condoms! XD To the right, is my fist sculpture made of plaster. I can tell you, chipping plaster can be hazardous, wear a mask! ~_~ *coughs*

Below the top images are shots of my printed comic preview that I talked about a while ago. You’d feel cheated if you had bought them. =P Below to the left of the comic pictures is my water color boxes. Man, it’s hard to paint with this stuff. I was only able to get skin tone once! ONLY ONCE! When I tried it again, it failed! T.T I paint on canvases, you’ll see them on the image below where my “OLD ART” is. They’re on top. Beside the “OLD ART” image is my Japanese character guide book. It helps me make my SFX for the comics. =P The images below is just a character for T.B.E.S. and my lion. >.<

This is what it’s like outside now. Well, at least some of the snow’s gone... though the highways are still filled with snow banks. >.>

Ok I’m getting tired of writing, lol. The stuff below is around my room. The pink stuff in my closet/drawer is a bunch of empty Pocky boxes. There’s more in the back actually. XD I don’t keep food in my drawer, that’s why they’re empty..., well the bottle of wine’s an exception though. >=P The lowest image to the right has a guy in it. That’s the back of Mike(cousin)’s head. XD

To start with, yeah I know my post's late. Life's being hectic as always, but its ok, its all according to plan...bwehehehehe... whoops. too much info. Ok, moving on...

Hey guys! Check it out! It's something I dug up on the old comic archives! This seems to be a preview of the old Heroes Adventures story I was writing up before. Well, I barely had time to work on it long ago, so I repeatedly ignore it and put up fillers. Now all the readers are completely gone! Oh wait, lemme rephrase that. The readers are still there, but I just disappeared. Now I managed to start up a new story, but I disappeared again. There we go =)

Err, well here it is...

Yeah, it was a pretty cool start long ago. But now the storyline's completely rekambobulated with. More on that later on (When I get some awesome free time hehehe)

Speaking of free time, I'm suppose to be writing a final essay in here. Dammit Ein, making me write on a lazy evening. Ahh oh well, that's better left on a sunday mornin'

Ohh, and might as well continue my martial artist's guide thingamajigg..

MARTIAL ARTS!!!! gyarr

Ok, so before I talked about Ba gua. That was actually kinda advanced. Yeah, I dont know much about the style myself. I tried teaching it to myself, pretty cool, but also uber tiring. I also didn't mention about the difference of internal and external ways of kung fu, and the preceding style before bagua which is xing yi and tai chi, the geographic source of north and south chinese martial arts, and the super complex history of martial arts in every culture of the world?... haaah.. Well, I did inform of my uninformativeness long ago. Right? was that a word...? the hell did I write just now? Oh, me suppose to write about wing chun tonight? Thank you weird floating ball of energy that only I can see. Ok, need to write about wing chun now.

Wing Chun. Yes, were still in the section of Kung Fu here. I guess that it is socially accepted that Kung Fu is associated with every fighting style originating in China. Although this is kinda wrong, in a way. From what my research has shown me so far, there are internal and external styles of chinese martial arts. Kung fu can be defined as external, using speed and explosive techniques. Ba gua is an example of internal art, using a relaxed body as opposed to brute strength, and the development and circulation of Qi (also pronounced chi, I believe its Ki in japanese as well)

There is a common saying in Chinese martial arts that goes:

内外相合，外重手眼身法步，内修心神意气力。

Train both Internal and External.

External training includes the hands, the eyes, the body and stances.

Internal training includes the heart, the mind, the spirit and strength.

So anyways, Wing Chun. This martial arts breaks out of the flashy high powered fighting punches and kicks seen in the movies. Unlike what we normally see as kung fu like flying high kicks, Wing Chun is an aggresive close-range combat system. Ohh, need I remind you that this is the native martial art of Bruce Lee? Yeah.

One of the unique traits of this martial arts is the centerline: an imaginary line centering you, the opponent and the space between the two. There are lots of interpretation of this line, generally saying its spans from one fighter's chest to the other, revealing weak points like eye, nose, throat, frontal chest and groin. The punches in wing chun are direct, short and using as less energy as possible. Attacks are mixed with parries and blocks that it flows smoothly in each. This gives the practitioner flowing movements of "block, attack, parry, attack, attack" pattern. Basically, youre punches are machine guns.

Kicks are also used, the entire body is entirely used. There are some high attack kicks, but its seldom used. The best kicks of wing chun are very short that hits the leg and shin; especially that frontal bone on the lower leg that hurts alot when hit. Yeah, I've felt those wing chun hits personally, its almost rarely seen in close range combat that its been mentioned as "the invisible kick."

Practicality, Efficiency, and Economy of movement. Wing chun can be easily used in any fighting scenarios. It improves your reaction time and reaction efficieny. Its not flashy, certainly not a crowd pleaser, but it works. And since its short range attacks which doesn't utilizes many muscles contractions, it takes the least energy possible out of you.

Freaking hell it's COLD!! Not to mention the snow storm we had last night, and yes I have class soon. *checks watch*

Well here's a few things I said I'd post, but never did... till now.

I guess I'll post only two of them, the others are still in school and the others are too weird to put up here, lol. Yeah, these took days to work on, but hey my next sculpture is Strike Gundam VS Godzilla!! And this'll take longer to accomplish. T.T

Remember when I said that I could sew? Well I wasn't joking!! I made this all myself, made the plans, bought the cloth, mesured it, cut it and sewed it together. Hell, everytime I make one of these my head goes nuts and I end up working on it for a week at least. Anyway, yeah, It's a Japanese over-jacket, supposubly what you put on top of a Kimono. The inside is white, as you can see. This is remeniscent of my prototype, (in which I learned many hard lessons about T.T ) though I didn't use any actual official design plans to make it. In fact, I had none; I had to come up with it myself. Which is why I messed up on a few areas, such as the mesuring, the arms and the lenght of the arms. The area that hangs beneath the arms is too short, next time it'll be longer. Fun part about wearing these is that those hanging thingys enable you to put stuff in them. =D *steals Jeff's stuff* >.>

Ah yes, THE DYING MAN, this took all of my creativity to pull off. The good thing about clay is that you can stick it back if you mess up, unlike plaster. >.> (I'll leave the plaster story for another post.) Huh? Oh yeah, that's clay and not bronze or anything, lol. Cool huh? I painted it black first then added scratch shines of silver. Though, I forgot the first coat of varnish... and now I'm afraid of moving it out of my desk because the paint's coming off. T.T The inspiration of this came along with class, when my teacher showed us statues of unfinished works belonging to Michaelangelo. They were pretty cool looking so I thought I'd make one. I even use the same technique, I removed clay as if it was marble and imagined a figure inside the block of clay.

I do like one thing though, and it's the character. She seems cool, huh~? I wanted her outfit to look sexy like most idols would wear, yet have a lot of style to it to show her own flare.
I had in mind to make her slightly futuristic, hence the neon colorings and somewhat strange looking technology here. She's the idol of the futuuure~
